Luminics JDM Yellow fog light blew out in 2 weeks- bad luck
i ordered uv low beams and jdm yellow fog lights from lumincs about 2 months ago. it took about a month and a half for them to get to my house because apparantly the UV lights were illegal and they were sold out, so i kept calling- then finally i got a hold of the owner and talked blah blah.
"the lights are illegal, what you want me to do?"
so i got the hyper whites. and the jdms. they came about a month and a half after the initial order. note: the credit card was charged and everything a week after the intial purchase- cool?
i get them, i install them. i made sure i didnt touch them. a couple weeks later, boom, it just died and stopped working. i switched them and everything then i just put the stock bulbs back in. the hyper white lows beams are lookin good though.
i emailed the luminins guy a bunch of times and he never emailed me back.
product if it worked 5|5 stars
service of luminics 1|5 stars
i guess i just got jipped out of 40 bucks
are there any other companies that make the yellowish lights for the stock fogs on the tC? cuz when they were in, they looked hott. except they're really hard to get to if you have a short arm

You could get yellow overlays for your fogs... check with rockblocker, bluebatmobile, or headlight armor. They usually look pretty nice and would give a nice contrast to your BCP, even when off.
I feel your pain. Tried a bunch of aftermarket bulbs over the years and the only ones I have had much luck with were the Hella Yellowstars, hard to find though. An easier solution is to go with our GT Yellow fog light protection kit and run stock bulbs. Looks good day or night.

Just a word of caution; I wouldn't use high watt bulbs (with or without the film kit). Without the film kit the extra heat can cause melting. With the film kit the film might burn along with further melting.

i don't really like how the yellow over lays look to be honest. i like the whole white/ chrome look.
HeadlightArmor-com, how did the hella yellowstars work out? are they reliable.
Also, correct me if i'm wrong but a film kit protects the bulb itself
ddsboi , hah i'm pretty sure it was luminicsbulbs. that's funny that you said that though because it seemed to me that luminicsbulbs is a very small company- since i called and spoke to the owner directly. maybe it was luck.

No worries, just an option. They also come in clear if all you want to do is protect the lights from being sand blasted into sea glass over time.
I have personally used the yellowstars in a few different apps to good effect. Every car had aftermarket springs too. I don't tend to run them all the time though, and usually turn them off if sitting in traffic (worried about heat buildup). They don't last as long as regular bulbs (usually the case with the different bulbs I have tried anyway)
The film kits go on the outside of the lens to protect them from pitting. Think of it like a really really thick piece of packing tape for lack of a better analogy.
Good Luck!

The luminics bulbs and the tC just don't seem to work well with each other. If you search around the forums here, you will see that the bulbs not lasting is not exactly unique. They lasted in my tC about 10 days.
