I threw this idea around with some of you about 6 months ago... but i just read about the so-cal tC club doing a meet at a race track and doing some drag racing .... i think this would be fun... anybody know how we would go about getting somthing like this set up?

How about track night, Firebird has Friday night races. You don’t have to race but they do have lots of room to have a meet. So maybe we should change it up one weekend and go to firebird.

yea i went to the longo triathalon and it was a lot of fun. it was a drag/show/sound event. i participated in the drags and had a blast. maybe camelback could sponsor a similar event sometime. i was actually going to post this and suggest it but you beat me to it. mark, if you are reading, this would make a great arizona event :)

i know we could make this happen and get all of phx and tucson involved.

a couple of months ago a group that i go on drives with rented a track down in Deming N.M. it was really nice cuz there wern't any walls to hit just sand... Deming is only 3 hours from Tucson and the $$$ wasn't bad either... and we were able to spend all day out there doing anything we wanted...

just drag? nothing like...circuit/autocross tracks??? =(

Arroyo Seco Raceway is the track. It's a lot of fun and very cheap. There is a test and tune day on May 20th. If you've never been on a real road course before, I suggest running with one of the following local Racing Organizations:
