Default iPod wiring

What do you guys think about this?

What i was wondering is that how would I connect it if I already have my amp connected via a RCA adapter. My guess would be that i would need another set of adapters??

Do you have an aux input in the back?
Also, what kind of stereo do you have?

I have the stock radio. Thats why I need the RCA adaptor. But since I already have the amp hooked up I was wondering if it will work.

Just get a mini to RCA plug and get this USA Spec adapter and you will be all set. It works with factroy stereo's.

Lol, it looks like that DUAL product (which by my experience, dual makes junk!) is pretty much an rca to mini plug!

The stock head unit doesn't have RCA inputs so this won't work for you.

Or does it?

Get these two parts, and you have RCA inputs for your stock head unit.

Contact me if you want me to get these for you.

Lol, thanks. If you're trying to connect your iPod to your car, then you should get this.

(Of course, you would still need that second harness).

Here is my opinion. Dual= crap. I had a dual head unit put in when I first bought my xb because I bought it used and it came with a crappy deck. The dual blew out with in 3 months.. and whenever I talk to the audio peeps they say you get what you pay for with dual.
If you want a fairly inexpensive solution with great sound pre amp outs for front, rear, sub, also you get two aux ins get this
Alpine CDA 9856- iPod Full Speed Connection
you can hook your iPod up and control All your playlists and albums from the deck. plus you can hide your iPod in the glove box and it will charge it at the same time..
SWEET!
BTW this is what I have in my XB...

Lol, I just finished talking trash on Dual/Jensen in another post! I agree about the Alpine units, they are great, Pioneer is great too, but I think theappe wants to use his stock radio.

Theappe, if you are willing to change out your headunit, and wanting to setup a couple amps to power a nice system, you should look for a few things in your headunit. Look for how many preouts there are (usually front and rear, or front, rear, and sub out). Also look for the preout voltage. usually 2 volts is basic, 3 is okay, 4 is good, 5 is very good, I've seen some 6 volt units, and have heard of 8 volt units.

Also, look for either auxiliary inputs, or accessory inputs. Pioneer has an IP-bus setup (where you can hookup a cd/dvd changer, satellite radio, etc...). I think there is a limit to 3 units that hook up to the IP bus. Alpine has a AI-net setup (same as Pioneers IP-bus).

Good luck!
