I'd like to add a sub and amp to my stock audio setup. I don't need comp grade parts. I'd just like to have the stock speakers have some help with a sub. I've got an under seat enclosure for a 10". Just looking for a couple ideas.

I'd like it to sound good across all genres of music. I listen to everything from Ice Cube to Nora Jones to Country. So I'd just like it to handle well. Thanks.

Line Output Converter... it gets wired into your back speakers and you plug RCA's into it and then to the amp.
8gauge power wire for your amp should work fine.
1 10" sub... you can get an Alpine type R... NICE sub. Go with like, a pioneer 800w. amp and you'll be pretty much set. Hit me up on PM and I'll try to get some pics of my setup. I have 2 10" kenwood subs that were setting off car alarms today driving down the road.

 

Do a quick search for some of my more recent posts in this forum. Then take a look at the offerings from Elemental Designs. Pairing an 11Kv.2 subwoofer in an underseat enclosure with a NINe.2 amplifier sounds really good with the stock system. Get your self an in-line electronic bass control as well. You definitely won't regret it.

 

TOZTR, the line output converter disconnects the rear speakers, or does the converter allow for the amp & the rear speakers?
