i recently applied for a cc at super autobacs in stanton (southern california). i'm just curious has anybody bought stuff from them before besides bulbs, car accessories, audio, tires/rims. my credit limit there is $700 and i want to get a header but i didnt see any in the store or get a chance to ask around for help.

any shopping experiences from them? good, bad ?

can they order parts that they dont have? are they more expensive then online sites like creative compacts / monster motorworks / ptuning ?

i know most of these questions should be directed to an actual worker @ the store but i was just wondering if anybody buys performance related stuff from them. the reason why i ask is i dont like to wait for shipping and i rather have it the moment i buy it.

Autobacs is great to purchase stuff you can't find elsewhere.. i've had great purchases from them.

other than that, other parts (including performance) can be probably found elsewhere for much cheaper. if you are having trouble finding a place... shoot me a pm.

and btw.... credit cards..... evil... if that's what is stopping you from purchasing elsewhere... well... maybe you shouldn't be buying anything?

HMM, cc=evil...no...10, 20, 30+APR=EVIL dam, I just looked at one of my cards and it has an adjustable rate and last month it was somewhere around 31%, luckily the card has already made its way to the shreader and the last payment will be off in a few days. who hoooo!!!!

They sell at MSRP most of the time and shops like Island Motorsports sell way below MSRP and are 10 min away from them. And there installation prices are ridiculous! Almost as ridiculous as the dealer.

they are prett y expensive i live around the corner from there i have bought some cool shirts there though..... they do carry alot of stuff though and its a grat place to browse.....

ive got my tires there and i get my oil and fluid services there. they really well priced on some things especially during sales. you save money on install though ( 10.00 a wheel to install) plus they do know their stuff so if you want a supercharger installed they got it handled. service isnt soo good their always really rude to me but then they always give me some sort of discount , even got a $ 50.00 discount on my Toyo's so that keeps me coming back

a couple of my friends go there for tires/rims but other then that, i havent heard from anybody talking about autobacs purchases that are for engine performance.

maybe if i have time this week i'll stop by and see how much their headers cost. just curious :lalala:

I check out stuff their all the time , if you can do it yourself buy it online you will find it on average 10-20% cheaper. but they can get a lot of stuff too and ive seen them install they really know what their doing and their fast so you dont get over charged for time

online is the way to go. it is always cheaper... thats because online stores dont have the same kind of overhead that actual stores have.

thats true, the reason why i consider autobacs as an alternative is that when they install the stuff i buy from them, it has warrenty (correct me if i'm wrong)

warrenty as in: if the install goes wrong, they will fix it.

online is way cheaper, i just dont like the whole waiting game for the item to arrive.
