Default cheap mp3 player cup holder mount

After I installed the aux adaptor for my headunit I found that finding a good place for my mp3 player was a problem. It would either slide around or sit too low in the cup holder. Not to mention the fact that I couldn't find any good car mounts for my player (Creative Zen Micro) or they werent worth the price. Then I found the "Make Your own Case out of an Altoids tin." Man thats awesome! I managed to make one then after experimenting I realized that I could do more then just make a case I could make a mount. So after some tinkering I made this

I though it turned out great. What I did was I took the bottom half of a steal can, a plastic paper clamp, the bottom half of the Altoids case (sans lid) and then apoxyed them together. Also I added some foam around the bottom of the steal can to reduce the chance of scratching. it fits perfectly in a cup holder. The instructions for the Altoids case is here http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1203112
Tell me what you think.

was it just me or don't the scions come with cup holder MP3 holders? I have a black molded foam thing for the iPod with a scion logo on it that came with the car.

Was I special? or do they come with these?

^^^ They do come with that. I have one of those too in my xB. I use it to hold my razor cellphone - lol

But you gotta admit, this thing looks cooler than that cheap foam crap the factory gives you.

I didnt get one with my xA....hence why I made one. Also my original stock headunit didnt come with a aux input anyways so, if they had given me a ipod holder it would have been uselss. (I have an '05 xA=pre-aux input)

Here is what it looks like in the car.

oh and you know I'm tryin to make a S/C

It took me about 45 min to an hour. The hardest part was cutting the can apart. The easiest way to make the Altoids tin part is with a Dremel, you can do it with tin snips but it doesnt cut as well. Really it was pretty easy.
