"best" is more of an opinion. There's no clear way to say which would be "best." There are quite a few companies now, but it's more of a "who do you trust?" kind of thing, IMO.

Again, it depends on what you want... some are more adjustable than others, so you'll likely get different performance out of them.

rvpps2rocks, what are you looking for here? You say coilovers, but mention tein s-techs which are just springs. You looking for coilovers or springs?

i will tell you the diff in a week between the megans and tein ss-p

i could not decide myself so i bought both and im going to try both

But if you are just using your car as DD then id go for the megans since it has a softer SR. The progress are streetable as well but thats from opinions also.

I would search around on the site, there is a ton of info debating this. in fact if you look up a tad, there is a sticky with all the coilover brands so that way you know the brands to search for.

Good luck!!

how much you looking to spend? you looking for damper adjustment? if not, then i'd go with basics, and if you want damper i'd go with megan...just my opinion though. you'll get a lot of different opinions on this forum as ppl run a lot of different setups.

whats exactly is damper adjustment. yea its going to e DD but i still want the feeling of being low but to have a decent amount of comport. I know megans are 32 way adjustable and tein's are 16 way adjustable what does that mean

the adjestment refer's to the dampening setting on the tien the lower the setting the stiffer the shock's are with the edfc you can switch to 32 way adjustable now the lower you go with the ride height the stiffer you might want to go on the dampening to keep it from bottoming out during hard driving.

Has anyone used the Tanabe Sustec SOC's? I've got the tower bar and DF210's on my car, and they are fantastic...but I think it's time to upgrade to something even more aggressive :D

For me, the "Best" is something that I wont need to worry about. set it and forget it. These seem about right:

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/coilovers/s-ocII.asp

If I find someone to corner balance and get everything dialed in, i wont ever need to change it. Not expensive, decent rates...still streetable...*BUT* havent heard too much input about them.

I installed Tanabes on a tC last week. They're not too bad, but I'm not really a fan of it's complete design. The new endlinks for the front they give you are great. The rears assemble somewhat awkward, and not having ANY diagrams or instructions in English makes the process take longer than it should. They rode well from what I've heard from him though.

I went with H&R coilovers and still swear by H&R. The ride is amazing, the fitment is OEM, and I never worry about the reliability. They handle MUCH better than I expected, and have no intentions of switiching them out for an adjustable dampening coilover anytime soon.

H&R works well. I can take corners so much better than stock!

Just wish I could keep them on my car. I need to sell my H&R coilovers since they are too hard on my 3 year old daughter.

$900 any takers?

Also have TRD mufflers $200+ shipping.
