Sorry for stupid question, I did do a search and couldn't find the exact answer.

In another thread that explains how to install puddle lights, the faq shows how to wire the lights so that they go on and off with the dome lights.

Is this the basic instruction for anything I wanted to install that I want to go on and off with the dome lights? Does this mean when I reach up and hit the switch to turn on the domes when the door is closed, that whatever else is wired into it will also be controlled by that switch?

I want to install some interior LEDs or neons, but only want them to come on when the door opens. (But it would also be nice if I could turn them on by hitting the dome switch as well).
