Default A-Pillar Full Gauge Pod and SRS Curtian Airbags?



Some one please tell me that I can use a Full A-pillar gauge pod with the Side curitain pillar air bags... or atleast how to disconnect the airbag so it doesnt pop while im installin the pod and gauges!?!?!?!?!?!

Sorry, you cant use them....I've seen someone cut the guage pod short, and use part of the stock pillar to somehow fit it in...but it seems like a lotta work.

times you never know you will need it. i would rather put it somewhere than compromise safety.

you can get the ati epod which mounts on the center of the dash

mumm, not sure you want to do that....unless you want to hit/kill by the gauge pod.

yeah i was afraid of that lol.... i really dont give a ____ about the safety part... but i guess ill just mount the gauges on the dash... even though i hate it like that... hmmm wtf it might be alright.... so i guess its a good thing that i didnt order the pillar pod lol!!!! But thanks guys i appreciate the info!!!!!

do any of you know how to change out all the leds in the dash and stero cause i hate the stock amber lights it ____es me off lol i wanna put blue or red.... that info would be helpful too!!! thanks

The pod's that mount on the steering Bracket/collar would be a better idea. I think its the E-Pod that somebody else mentioned.

the ATI piece does not go over the steering column like in some of the other applications. The one for the tC goes over the center console (above where the radio is)

I did it. i have SRS airbags and the A-pillar gauge pod. i will post picture.

for safety reasons, did you disconnect the side airbag? if not, you are taking a very fatal risk by doing that. I strongly suggest you either disconnect that air bag, or remove the gauge pillar

^^ No i did not disconnect the airbag i just removed the piller to see behind it( only the four wire the hook to the system and the tube that pushes the air in to the airbag are there) then used a small screw to mount it making sure not to hit or touch anything.

See the pillar doen't come off when the airbag goes off.

hmmm.. the regular airbag didn't go off... must've been hit hard on the side...

i also always wanted to see the airbag that's in the seat?
