Default 17X8.5 w/ 48mm offset. What size tire?

Does anyone that is running a 245/40/17 think a 255/40/17 will fit?

Thanks,

Jeremy

well crap. with a 48 mm offset, you can fit like.. anything lol. i'm pretty sure a 245 width would fit.

^Try that out. With a 48 offest you should be careful about a rubbing issue on the inside (maybe ino the suspension).

i know that a 245 will fit and I know that a 17x8.5 wheel with a 48mm offset will fit, but the question is will a 255 fit with this size wheel?

sounds like you will have issues with rubbing inside the wheel well.. but you did say 38 so it mught not be a prob with your tires but 245??? Just sounds off to me.. maybe since thay are 17's that will help you... oh well... good luck, and post some pics when you are done...

Tire sizes do vary between manufactures. A 225/45/17 from Kuhmo isn't the same width as a 225/45/17 from Bridgestone, but it should be pretty accurate.

The best think to do is to look at the actual tire specs online or call the manufacture. Compare that information with the link I provided and see if things differ much.
