I'm not skillful or patient enough to attempt this, so I contacted Daniel from TransparentBra.com, a mobile installation service in the SF Bay Area. Daniel uses laser cut patterns on Ventureshield or 3M material. At the time of my install he was using Ventureshield.

This install took 4 hours. I also had my door edges and sills done as well. After a few days of sunshine any remaining bubbles were gone. Thanks, Daniel!!

Very nice install. Turned out well. I wish I could get that for my car.

I saw this stuff at my window tinting place and was curious to see how well it fit. Does it cover the whole front bumper? Any more pics...or does it prettymuch look like nothings there except that little line where it ends? And if you dont mind...what did it run you?

He was charging about $550 for the kit installed, which doesn't include the door edges or sills. It covers the whole front bumper up to where the wheel well begins (flat part). Also includes the side fender and hood as pictured, as well as side-view mirrors and headlights. The headlight cover is the same material, not a thicker one. There's only a slight difference in reflection with the material. You won't notice it unless you are closer than 6 feet and looking very hard.

Try google for a local installer. That's how I found Daniel @ TransparentBra. It was one of those sponsored ads on the right-hand side of the search results for 'clear bra' or ventureshield or some combination of those words.

i had daniel install clear bra in my murano too. he came to my work and did a great job. i'd recommend him as well.

I think a subtle difference in reflection with the clear bra looks WAY better than rock chips. Wish I would have had that done when I first bought my car. Oh well, live and learn.

I scheduled the install as soon as I picked up my tC. They're doing lots of freeway contruction in the SF Bay Area so the amount of rocks & pebbles on the road has increased. Good thing about the material is that it is supposed to let the paint fade evenly with the rest of the car, which a regular black bra doesn't do.

On a scale of 1 - 10, how hard did the install seem as he was putting it on? I mean I am sure it was pretty easy as that is what he does all the time, but I just purchased this and I am planning on installing myself. My dad has experience with simalar stuff so I think I should be good, just wanted to get your input since you watched a pro install it. Thanks

It really isn't the type of thing you should try yourself, unless you got the film for free.

It didn't look fun but maybe since your dad has similar experience you guys will get it done. Use plenty of 'lube'.
