Well im kind of partial on the subject, so i'll say go ZPI. I know Simplyscion had the TSI turbo and was not completely happy with it, but did get some good use out of it. ZPI has done great thing's for the tC's so i can only imagine that the xB turbo is going to be awsome to. Are you driving a manual or auto? Do you want to have to worry about installing bigger fuel pump, fuel return line and fuel pressure regulator? I beleive these are some of the things you will need to do to get the full use out of the TSI turbo. Im sure Vito (Simplyscion) will check this thread out and throw in his very good knowledge on the subject. ZPI's turbo should be pretty much a bolt on turbo, no tunning required and run on stock internals, with bigger injectors. So it may come down to ease of install and ofcourse hp #'s. Go with ZPI.........

ZPI comes with the full kit including intercooler. Here is the thread that says what you get with the kit.

the vid on their website looks cool  ...but it would be nice to see them shoot the video from outside the car that mark was driving and see how far it beats the maserati...if the xb stays front at all times 1/4mile run with that maserati ....then im going for the zpi kit :eyebrow:

Well i can't lie to you I don't think the xB could beat the Masserati, but im sure they are going to try and make it beat it. Now the ZPI tC can whoop the Maserati already. No matter what this turbo kit is going to be sweet, as must have for anbody going F/I and they have forged internals for our engines. So the sky is the limit(almost) with ZPI.

I know they are running 2.5 on there's, I have 2.25 from the header back and they said that will work. But i beleive 2.5 is optimal for a turbo.

I didnt need to do everything that I did, I just wanted a failsafe kit...you know, if your gonna half a$$ it why do it at all type of thing. I also didnt use emanage which is another reason why I did the return line/pump/fpr etc. Im curious to see how ZPI's kit comes out.

See I told you Vito would drop bye. Hey Vito, you had an auto right? How did you like the power the turbo added? I'll be heading up to ZPI HQ on May 23rd, to be the first Auto with there kit, shoot maybe the first xB (except there own one). So i let you know how it turns out from my stand point. Ofcourse the manual's will have more power, but im still hoping for a fun ride.

The turbo was a lot of fun...I was sorta in it on my own with my father cause there werent to many boosted boxes runnin around those days. The power was great, made the box actually fun to drive. I turned the boost up numerous times without any severe ramifications. The ZPI kit should be good when it is released, plus you will have their first hand knowledge and support if any problems start to arise. Im pretty sure you guys woulda seen some sick numbers if i ended up keeping my car as I had a bunch of plans that I never got to tackle. All in all, it was worth it.

 Sorry brain fart, i was thinking you were talking about the BB=car, turbo. Just wanted to clarify before i answered and looked .

Well i have read up on the turbo they are using and no where does it state on any of the sites i looked at, that it is ball bearing or not. So im really not sure ( i rember reading ball bearing turbos spool faster, i am no expert on turbo's at all), but never hurts to ask the experts and will ask ZPI. Glad to hear you have some what made up your mind on what direction your going towards on turbo's. I will let you know what they say.

The EVO III GT 16G turbo is not a ball bearing turbo. Keep us updated on what you put in your ride.

Use the TSI kit.... its pretty complete as far as the main parts... The only thing you will need is fuel management but if you buy it from turbo-kits.com, they offer a fuel upgrade that comes with what you need. It wasnt available when I did mine..
