I just got my windows tinted today.......... and wow there are still alot of little bubbles...

is this normal? I also have a scratch on the passenger side window that i can catch my finger in...

My weatherstrips are all weirdly bent and look like something dug into each one with a hammer or something...

I got 35% on the front two windows and 20% rear windows and hatch...

Ghetto tint job.

Scratches and excessive bubbles are telltale signs.

Bubbles are normal. After you let the sun bake the tints it should go away.

As for the scratch i would take it back and have them redo that side. Also if the weather stripping is bad have them redo it also.

Depends on what kind of bubbles they are. If they look water-filled, they'll go away. If you can see a little reflection in the bubble, that's a bubble formed by dirt, common with rush tint jobs when they don't clean the glass properly. Those bubbles don't go away.

if you have rolled down your windows or sunroof then you did it to yourself and you wont be able to get it fixed for free. a good shop should have at least given a sheet of paper telling you what you should or shouldnt for the next week. or so and at least told you face to face

if didnt not roll your windows down or open you sunroof keep it that way for the next 7 days max. and the bubbles you see will vanish. donot poke the the bubble because it will leave a mark. i dont recommend even cleaning your windows until the 7th day.

i had the same exact problem . yes its normal for the the first 3-7 days because of the solution they use to tint cars. it takes close to a month to fully bond to the window also but you can open you window beforehand as i stated before

a little known fact from a former tint/detail guy

some tint/detail shops use baby shampoo johnson and johnson no more tears to be more exact ( an old tint guy trick) which doesnt leave any bubble but dries slightly slower but easier to work when your fitting against your window.

i used to do tint on the side on the weekends as a side job..on all cars not matter what style..always recommended 3-7 days

little bubbles are normal.. they just need some heat to dry out.. just park the window side in the sun and let the bubbles dry , as for the scratch id be goin back to the tinting shop to complain..

I havent opened my windows but was told not to open for the next 3 days but now you tell me 7 days, hmmmmm, ill get the side with the scratch retinted tomorrow then. Hoepfully they can fix the weatherstrip, it looks rather funky X_X

yea i got my tints doen from thsi guy for 125 and i think he didn;t clean my windows eniough b.c theres all lil bubbles all voa there place but hes gonna fix it in liek 2 weeks but still looks ____ty a lil bit

The bottom wind seal on the tC comes out after the door panel is popped back but it should be slid out, not yanked out cause it WILL bend. If its bent it will seem uneven and wavy. It is recommended to pull the seals rather than tuck them for a quicker cleaner job. Water usually gets trapped in seals which is why "fingers" occur bringing in dirt.

As for the time period 3 to7 days (1 or 2 if your in AZ, NM, or other hot places) for the film to cure.

the passenger side window has a huge scratch, it looks like a hook shape. I brought it back today and he redid it for me =D. I also find a few other scratches but this one is actually on my window O.O;;.. I'm not sure how I got these but I didn't notice them until he pointed them out to me. I'm just a little suspicious but I can't really accuse him for scratching my window :eyebrow:

Considering they usually use razors to scrape the windows clean, I think the answer is obvious. They probably scratched your window.
