View Full Version : Wal-mart + idiots = $275
Cucumber 05-15-2006, 01:25 AM pictures speak for themselves. basically i came out of wal-mart and saw a horrific dent from far away. looks like two dents in one. no clue how or what did it im thinking it was a shopping cart or something. i parked far away too and behind a light pole, but still this happend. took it to the dealers pdr guy the next day but he couldnt get it and so i had to take it to the body shop. they had to fix it and repaint the entire door and 2 days later i got my car back. so $275 spent because of a freakin mother f'er.

Cucumber 05-15-2006, 01:56 AM i probably could check their survailance, but i doubt they will care if someone threw a cart into my car or somehing you know. i just pray everytime i go to wal-mart that nothing happens cause people seriously dont care there.

azurTC 05-15-2006, 01:59 AM My wife drives an Xb and works at Home Depot. Her car has been hit by a cart twice. IN THE SAME SPOT. Two different times. Thank goodness for the zero deductable on comprehensive claims.

damnn ouchh that has to suck. it ticks me off when there are so many careless people around.
mikochu 05-15-2006, 02:26 AM That's why I stopped shopping at Walmart..hah. It's cool, though..now your tC has dimples!
Professor_Murder 05-15-2006, 02:30 AM It pains me to look at that dent in your door. That's why I try to park as far away from everything as possible. I know its stupid sounding but I've heard way too many stories of locals getting their doors banged up at our local walmart/home depot/target. Plus with the long-distance parkjob I can at least get a good walk out of it.
Cucumber 05-15-2006, 02:33 AM yea dimples suck too
Cucumber 05-15-2006, 02:33 AM i always park as far away from other cars as i can if i go anywhere that consists of alot of people, i guess it was just bad luck that day
Reese 05-15-2006, 02:33 AM wow that looks more then just a cart bumping into your car.. I just wanna    but man   for you taking care of it so soon and not driving around with a jacked up car
You have one of the sweetest BSP ive seen    nicely freaking done.
Cucumber 05-15-2006, 02:37 AM haha thanks reese yea im really anal with my car so i fixed it as soon as possible
gomdangie 05-15-2006, 03:36 AM f***ing dealer made a dent on my car like that while they were repairing bumper, but not that big though
they fixed it, repainted it, but after few days, i could still see a dent on my door.
don't know wut da f they did.
MisterKe 05-15-2006, 03:43 AM DAMN buddy club looks hot on a tc. Nice wheels too. I get dents and dings all the time. But I get a lot of those tiny annoying ones that look like they're gonna make a ripple outwards and my tc will be one huge moving dent. I got one marble size one right on the fender line. Sucks.
chrischoi 05-15-2006, 05:48 AM sorry to just randomly ask.. what % tint?
rolstc 05-15-2006, 05:55 AM theres no way they painted your whole door for $275. Im sure all they did was pop it out and buffed it out with touch up paint.
2_much_tc 05-15-2006, 06:08 AM sorry about that bro. that blows ___. that happend to my sister car when i was driving, and guess who had to pay? me. people are jerks.
06SuperWhite_SoCal_tC 05-15-2006, 08:24 AM At my friends work on a very windy day, i saw a cart go across a entire parking lot and smack into a van. The cart was moving so fast when it hit it almost fliped over. It was seriously probably moving at about 15mph when it hit the front end of the van. Didnt really see the damage though, as it was night.
PnZrFsT 05-15-2006, 02:01 PM well, they did a good job fixing it atleast *shrugs*
MJVsTC 05-15-2006, 02:42 PM We need electo-magnets in our cars to deflect any metal objects away. :)

no they repainted it. trust me. they tried to pop it out, but since it was like two dents when they were pushing it out the paint started to crack the dent was way to deep. i had to stop by once to get something out my car and my door was on the ground with the paint shaved off and dent gone.
chrischoi 35% tint in the front and 5% on the back.
Twilliams 05-15-2006, 08:40 PM oh god, that sucks! It reminds me of back in May 2003, I had a spotless RSX Type S, came out from , you guessed it, WALMART!, and there it was, a nice shiny new door ding! I parked in the very last spot, about 2 millimeters away from the curb on the passenger side just to give the car on the left plenty of room to open their door. But, even being that careful, some careless a-hole had to open their door right in to mine. I was so pleased! The mark was black, and the car that was parked there was red (i think, been a while) so it wasnt the same car. no chance for revenge (not that I would do something though, :gun: )

That's what I was thinking. My Mustang got hit on the door from a hit and run, but dosn't look as bad as yours. I got two quotes, and both were over $1,000.
But if you say they did it all for $275, then it's a great price. I would say your lucky, but then again, it's $275 that you shouldn't have spent in the first place which sucks.
Nice ride, BTW.
i007spectre 05-16-2006, 10:53 PM Hell thats 3 times worse than mine and they want $420 to fix mine. So much for shopping at home.
