Well, I don't think it's a carbon "fiber" steel strut bar. Likely just carbon steel.

And are you sure it's not the MAF sensor?

i think u have a bad strut bar if it hits the MAF sensor. I have the DC Sports CS-2 strut bar wit an Injen CAI and im perfectly fine

No no no! Everyone is misreading (i think)!

He has NO CAI. He has the stock airbox. And he has the DC Sports Strut Bar.

I have the same. The DC Sports strut bar presses up against the MAF sensor. It's not a lot of pressure, but they vibrateagainst each other and make an annoying ticking sound inside the cabin. I fixed the sound by placing a piece of piping insulation on the strut bar where it hits the MAF sensor. It's not the ideal solution, but it works for me.

Use the search function and you will find that others had the same issue. Wedge some foam between there and your problems will be fixed. If you want it to look cleaner cut it and glue it to the strut bar, then reinstall. They do sell some foam weather stripping at Home Depot/Lowes/Yardbirds/WhateverDIYStore with adhesive on the back.
