Default Anyone change only the Stock S-Pipe?

Hey guys,

I remember reading that the stock s-pipe is the second most restrictive part of the factory tc exhaust (next to the header), and was wondering if anyone has changed just this piece of the exhaust, and with which product. I am curious about both sound and performance (1-2 whp?) , if only this piece is changed.

Thanks guys,

Jake

I did last year.

I didn't notice any sound increase but I only had stock exhaust. Power wasn't very noticeable but I didn't lose any low end. If you plan on doing your exhaust eventually that's where I would start.

If you want a true bolt-on I wouldn't go with the megan s-pipe.. I've had nothing but problems with it.

Sounds good guys. I like doing piece by piece so I can always be "tinkering" and making my car better. Look forward to any more info you guys can give me, or that anyone else can share. BTW, Shifty, which brand do you have?

Creative Compacts, stainless steel and 2.5" it fit really well no problems. It was around 150-175 shipped I can't remember but I'm really happy with it.

chub,

Do you have the s-pipe as the only mod? Maybe the only exhaust mod? Which one. Oh yeah, and how much was it.

I really appreciate your help man.

ayy sorry bro I have a custom catback exhaust setup.

but I had that setup b4 I got the s-pipe and after I got the s-pipe I could tell a difference...not sure if it was just me but I felt more top-end power.

also I got it free for being a test fit for the draxxas company

thanks nick!!...lol

dont just change out your spipe - if you want to do things in pieces change it out with your exhaust or with your header - changing just the spipe honestly is going to feel like you just spent money for no reason. I bought mine with my catback. You can also get one with the MMW header. Have fun.
