showpaojoe 11-11-2003, 06:44 PM I wish I could've went cuz then you wouldn't have even looked at those cars :D I'll try and get pix of my system so you can see real speakers in the door. They kinda made it a little too flush for my taste but the subs look nice, or the paint duz atleast.

showpaojoe 11-11-2003, 11:48 PM I would've came but my car got hit by those police drop bars that let one person pass at a time so my cars been in the shop the last few days getting a thick dent popped out. I tried to follow my dad thru and it hit the butt of my ride.
showpaojoe 11-12-2003, 12:02 AM My bad, I thought the meet already happened but its the one on the 15th, I'll try and get my car back, should be dun by friday. Hopefully I'll have rims by then. The inside looks good, just needs some exterior help.

OUCH!!
showpaojoe 11-12-2003, 12:40 AM I know, but I'm an impatient bastard.
IceBox 11-12-2003, 01:46 AM Teh UA subs in the xbs at the CAnyon meet were AWESOME!!! One of the guys there had just one 12" sub in his xb, but he amped that thing so good, it was better than any other car that had two or even three 12" subs! Me and a buddy of mine who went sat in the xb, and that sub was so powerful, that it made my hair jump inches, and it even made your head jump. It was funny how the sub bumped, because when you looked back at it, it was jumping out of the box about 4"!
Awesome jobs done by Ultimate Audio!

espy43 11-13-2003, 05:02 AM If the rear speakers in the ultimate audio install are too flush I would like to see how you did your rear speakers Showpaojoe. The rear doors have 5-1/4 separates. And so far I have not seen any other installs in the rear doors so please post your pictures.

hey, was that you at the Meet tonight at KK? i did not realize it till i came home and saw your pics again! heh he
so, how much were u selling it for?
and what exactly are you selling? thanks.....
jjambox 11-16-2003, 12:52 AM who did your install showpaojoe?
foxSCION 11-16-2003, 03:15 AM showpaojoe:
Where did you get that box in the rear? Is it custom? or could I purchase one?
showpaojoe 11-16-2003, 07:20 AM Custom.period. I don't think too many will take up the whole trunk like me but that was for 3600w. Gotsta have my air space. If anyone has heard my system, I will never get anything other than Infinity. They are the cleanest speakers I have ever had.
jjambox 12-11-2003, 12:23 AM [quote=showpaojoe]http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid89/pc57862195f66ded21a022234e19a8a57/fa8dc65d.jpg

what size speakers did you use on the rear doors and did you have to trim part of the armrest to fit it?
showpaojoe 12-11-2003, 12:44 AM Yeah, you have to trim the top. Their 6.5". I'm selling em if you wanna just trade door panels and they cum with the tweeters flush mounted and crossovers inside
jjambox 12-11-2003, 12:55 AM y r u seeling them?
showpaojoe 12-11-2003, 06:11 AM I wanna build a new system and don't have another scion to work on. Gunna sell the whole thing tv's, speakers, box, subs/amp if anyone wants a showcar system to compete. I don't plan on doing it. Just like other things, I have a problem being satisfied so I get tired of things really fast. Next I'll do a motorized setup in the trunk.
I just like the building process I guess.
Will sell cheap.
DenZinz 12-11-2003, 07:14 PM . I don't think too many will take up the whole trunk like me but that was for 3600w.
I wouldn't believe 100% on what that badge says unless you really have 3 batterys and have tested those amps on a test bench to really see what they put out.
showpaojoe 12-11-2003, 07:24 PM You know their not pushing full power. And I just got a new battery and cap cuz my fuse blew twice already
DenZinz 12-11-2003, 07:33 PM ok, i understand.
Its just mathematically if you were running a full 3600w you would be running additional batteries and 3600w equates to about 360-380 amps of current.
showpaojoe 12-11-2003, 07:35 PM Denny, my fuse thing is just floating in the air, ryt next to the battery and isn't stuck to anything. Could it blow because it touches the battery by any chance?

Well if its not isolated then it could be the problem, but i have a few questions:
1) what gauge wire are you using
2) what size fuse is in there
3) what brand and model numbers are your amps
bluxb 12-14-2003, 05:48 PM i was gonna say cuz i have 2000 watts rms and i have 2 deep cycle batteries with upgraded 0 gauge wire under the hood (magic 3) and i still get slight dimmage with the headlights on. im probably gonna get a ho alternator in the near future.
ScionRI 02-11-2004, 03:20 AM Hate to butt in but im buying 2 sets of infinity perfect 6.1's (probably) and i was gonna run them off an alpine 80Wx4 @ 4 Ohms amp for my xB... is this a good set up? and... is 218 a pair a good price for the 6.1s? Thanks a lot, im new in the system scene and i want to start on the right foot, im asking here because i saw your comment on the infinity's (encouraging). thanks for the advice.
LavaXB 02-11-2004, 03:24 AM Just my 2 cents...
Infinity isn't worth the money anymore...3-4 years ago they were tops for cheap, so everyone started using them. Then they jacked the price and the quality went down. I had an older model of the exact ones your looking at in my Expedition when I had it and it was nothing to brag about. I wasn't impressed for the money (don't even get me started on their subs...blah)...
I'd go Boston Accoustic. Much better sound quality for the price.
HotBox 02-11-2004, 03:49 AM can i put a pic of my system on here too i wanna be cool huh huh huh can i huh huh
