So im gettin my oil changed today at my local dealership and the Service Manager was talking about a "limited edition" tC thats is comming out this year ( i took this as an RS 3, but thats not what he called it). He said it is "gold", it will come with the supercharger, carbon fiber hood and spoiler and upgraded wheels. He said the gold is an awesome color (im not big on "gold"). Anyway, has anyone else heard of this beast? Dealers, insiders, speak up!

 

Um... the RS2 was JUST released... I doubt there's anything like that coming out. Or at least if there is, absolutely no one here knows anything or has said anything about it.

What you MAY be thinking of or he may be thinking of is the Spec Edition or whatever tuner thing they're doing for 2007. It's a slightly slimmed down tC with less options and a few hundred $$ less. But no supercharger or special color for it.

 

No, thats what i asked him! he had never heard of the "tuner edition". I thought this was a pretty outstanding claim as well (being as the RS 2 just came out) but I dont believe this guy would have any reason to pull my chain about it.

I heard of a newer xB coming that would have a slightly bigger engine and also a little bit longer body last time I got my oil changed. There was a tuner edition tC that just got sold here. Silver with no rims. Dealer didn't mention anything about a tC. We will just have to wait and see, but I think it is early for another RS.

 

Tuner edition is a 07 im pretty sure, so I don't think you saw any being sold. 07's are due to start rolling out in mid/late June.

Yeah I know he was lookin to trade with someone for a stock tC so they could get the benefit of his labors as the dealership he was goin to trade with obviously offered nada for his ride.

I think this rs3 thing is nonsense. An offical SC tC Financed, doubtful,gold?dubious,CF hood?unlikely.

It might just be one of those things dealarships do where they slap a few options on a TC, put some "special edition" badges on it and get more money from you. I know a few people with a "special edition" tC from the dealarship.

 

I'd say that if that dealer never heard of the Tuner Edition, then anything else he says is not credible.

 

Yeah this is total BS. Dont listen to anything that guy tells you. There are no plans for the RS 3.0 tC yet. Not even close. Also, the Tuner Edition tCs arent in production yet. They should be available somtime in June. I have a customer ordering one so Ive been keeping a close eye their availability....
