I have ordered a Flint mica TC. I have seen the flint mica up close on a Lexus RX330 and it looks incredible. I have also heard rumors that flint mica will not be available and grey would take its place. Some of the pictures of the TC I have seen do not look like flint mica at all and look like a regular grey instead. Does anyone have any facts about any of these rumors?

The grey TC in autoweek looks NOTHING like the Flint Mica I saw on the Lexus. The Lexus flint mica was really dark and had sparkles up close. I would describe it as a extremely dark grey and not the medium grey you see on the pictures. It might be the picture quality to because the indigo ink pearl looks dull in the pictures but up close is extremely bright.

From what I have read, there are two "greys" for the tC, one is the flint mica and the other is silver streak mica which is lighter. There is no way the tC could NOT come in silver streak as this color is promoted on the web page and it is too late for the thousands of tC ALREADY built and delivered to ports to have a color change. Even the dealer I went too had color patches and the flint mica had a note on back as "tC ONLY".

I do not consider the silver streak as a grey color.

It is just weird looking at the grey in the autoweek picture. That grey looks nothing like flint mica. If the TC does come in that grey I will get a different color. I just want to know why the picture looks so much different than flint mica?

That's what it actually looks like.
