Default On a POSITIVE note... Our Awesome DFW Dealers!!!

As a way to sort of bring in some fresh air I thought it would be nice to share some of the good experiences we have had with dealers in the area and to shout out some much deserved kudos...

I haven't had a chance to meet all the dealers in the area but here's to the ones I have....

Obviously the Scion Guys because they sold me my car. I've always dreaded dealing with car salesmen until I met Jeff and Charles. As many have stated they are very laid back and very nice to deal with. Even when things changed at the last minute they helped me get some financing together and got me my tC the way i wanted it. I have never been happier with a car! Seeing the way they continue to be involved in the Scion community also gives me even more respect for them.

I've seen Scion of Lewisville at some events. Honestly dont know you by name yet but very nice people and I havent heard a bad thing about you.

Chad at Scion of ? (Jeez its late and I cant remember).... I know you've had a rough time putting together some events but you seem like a nice guy and overall you've tried soI hope to see some more events in your future.

Scion of Irving recently put on a great event and i hear they'd like to do more so seems like they have a good vision to be involved in the community.

There's tons more so those of you who know them well.... post up and tell us about them...

We all know the Scion community is unique and thats why we're all here so lets remind ourselves and everyone reading that there are dealers out there doing some really good things.

We are truely blessed in the DFW region. Jeff and Charles/Sport City had the foresight to understand that happy customers just makes good business sense. More dealers are now working with and for the Scion community on events and charity projects. I have been out of town a few days but I read a post that I found strange.
Something about no more hand outs...I have been to many events from a few minutes away to hours away to help dealers have a successful event. Sure I like handouts but I have talked to many many people about Scions and how great the Scion Life and the cars are. I know I have sold a few. Wasted relationship was mentioned also, I am not too sure to who that applies, to the dealer or the community. Good customer relations is never a waste of time.
I love the Scion Life around here as all of us do. I would never refuse to help out a dealer around here that wants help on an event or charity if I am able.

I got my box from Toyota of Plano. Who, since I got my car, has had no involvement that I can think of with the community, but I did get a 5 spd lava when people were waiting 4-6 wks for anything lava, so nothing bad to say, not a ton of positive either...
Hey, they sold me a car.... what else can I say.

The events that the dealers do for us are not just because they want to thank us for
buying, as we have been so recently reminded, a $15k(+) car.
Its marketing, its advertising, its in order to get repeat business and referals.

And you know what, it F N works. And those who bust their hump to make an impression on us as owners shall recieve the fruits of their labors.
We are blessed as Scion owners to get this kind of attention...

No other car manufacturer (sp) caters (litterally in some cases) to their customers like Scion does. And we, as much as I hate to admit it own "entry level" cars. I love mine... and could care less, it looks cool.. but I digress...
Many dealerships have taken a stab at "impressing us" so that we'll tell our friends.
It almost goes without saying, that The Scion Guys have it down to a science, and in some cases have set the bar company wide to do this stuff from what I understand...
But huge props to Fowler, Irving, Tyler, Marshall, Paris...
Do the dealers enjoy it? ABSOLUTELY! Its not ALL business... I think its a revolution. Think about this... what if Scion/GST/ The dealers took ALL the money they spent on these gatherings, and put it towards radio, TV or print ads.... Would they have sold the same number of cars....? Doubt it....
So, lets help these guys out, whoever you want to help! Who ever you think deserves the busienss, cause at the end of the day, it is about business, and there is nothing wrong with that.

One itsy bitsy bit of drama, cause I don't want to start another drama thread thats just gonna get locked. (Sorry Baby!)
To: BS (<--- any body notice that... hehe.. sorry)
The thing @ TMS, was organized by...............................................................................

TMS!

Thats right, so it can't be stolen or taken unless you take it from them.
This is the 3rd year people on SL have participated.
It wasn't the Scion Guys deal either, they just took the steps to make it more fun.
Thats all, I wanted to say, its been nagging at me with all the threads.. so yeah, now that were clear.

Default enough is enough

i have read and seen everything that has gone on about the tms event and all i have to say is can everyone act like adults(not starting anything at all), yes brian ever reacted to the situation and upset the communty. but he did try to explain what happened and appologize for everything. but still everyone was out to attack him. i can assure everyone that the check has been sent. as for the drinks (not blaming dave at all) but the others in the department didnt know about it untill after the event. so as for everything else yes dave will be missed as he was a large part of our team. i personally took him under my wing and tried as hard as i could to teach him everything i know about the car buisness. so any questions about anything else that happened you can call me as i was there for everything and know what happened.

dave did help me learn about the scion community and show me the best sides of all you guys. but after all of the recent events i have learned of the dark side to the passon. i dont think that brian meant to upset all of you but hes new to the forum thing and over reacted to the extreem. i hope nobody ever holds a grudge against me for what happened because eventhough i dont drive a scion, it is part of what makes me love my job so much. if any of you know me personally you know im a car enthusiest to the extreem.

Which is how he got the name.............. Trophy *****!

The baseball thing is a joke Dave'o! Before we knew you we joked about it...

Anyway, that was a pretty cool deal, out at Whiterock Lake was it?
I remember b/c my ex was there... (BOOOOO!!! Bad memory!)
Anyway.....

What else was fun?
They put flame spinning hubcaps on Jestinas car when they pulled it around the day she bought it..., I wasn't there, but that was funny....

Ok what else?

im not trying to rekindle anything i was just looking around and every where i look i see it. im trying to kill it so we never here it again. i want to let everything go away so that i can move on with my life. but also i dont want everyone to walk away from scion of dallas because of brian having a short fuse. im wanting to hold the next scion cafe and want everyone to have fun as i want it to be everything and then some as im bringing in the influences from my networks from the cars i drive and i dont want brians fallout to destroy it as i have been making the contacts and putting together the plan for almost 4months. im want to try and fill in daves spot

ps nothing said here has anything to do with brian and if i end up having to pay for my event myself then i will because one man does not a dealership make... so let it die yes but dont sever the relationship because i have sold a few of you guys a car and still think of you as friends....

I guess it won't go away unless your boss owns up. plus with a fourm it is like those contract you make us sign "it's all black and white baby"

Dude this might be a good time to follow david's example instead of him following yours start looking for a new job unless you can survive the storm. I'm sure you will sell scions at SOD hell you sold me mine but not at the potential volume you could have sold them if you had david on board. My last comment will say it all.

Best of luck on the cafe (Some advice to keep your boss happy don't post it up until the day before to ensure the "scion guys" don't steal it).

We hope. It was nice knowing you weren't getting involved keep it that way. We know what camp your on we don't blame you.

Would love too but because of the actions of your boss/manager I will leave you with this from our (the 15k car buying waste of time scionlife using cult's) point of view. . . .

Here is a rule for you to share with your boss "You can't bite that hand that feeds you" no matter how irritating that hand might be.

BEST OF LUCK TO YA KYLE!!!! (p.s. you seem like a nice guy (that is the opinion I had of brian before all of this went down) you might wanna jump before he drowns ya too).

From this point on to keep this topic from falling in the toilet keep it to PM's if you feel I have offended you in anyway.

Kenny don't play! He quit school cause of recess! Kyle, Overreacting is one thing, threatening people on a public forum is retarded. I this is the guy you want to work for, good luck with that.......Kinda hard to un-ring that bell.

I bought my car from Scion of Dallas (Brian was the sales rep.)...it was a great experience! He helped me out w/ everything. (He even introduced me to SL or was that Adam Minkley?)

There have been some awesome people at SOD such as Kyle, Adam Minkley, Tiny, David AND Brian.

Unfortunately after reading some of Brian's posts...I too am upset. It's kind of like that feeling when you find out that your parents never really loved you (not that I know that feeling personally...but I can imagine how much it would suck...lol).
But where is all the cool people disappearing to? Adam-gone! David-gone! Tiny-gone! Brian-hates us! Kyle-last of the Mohicans(sp?)

Please don't bash Kyle...he's a cool dude.
