Default Dezod doing bigger things with less boost! 4 Videos!!

Mainly due to a boost spike caused by a TurboXS standard boost controller, I was forced to run only 10-10.5psi. The Stewart gauge is a little inaccurate so I figure better safe than sorry. I was spiking at almost 14psi between shifts so the lower boost helped keep things to a point where I could still drive the car home later.

10.5psi (or so), open dump, 11.0AFR, DOT radials, 16 speaker sound system, full body kit and wing.
Needless to say...
13.5@107.36
2.268 60'
8.947 1/8th mile
83.51 1//8th mile

That was the best time of the night. For street approved tires and all the extra weight, and running even less boost than a couple weeks ago I'm pretty happy. The only newer mod was the Ingalls torque dampener (in stock on our site!) and slightly better tuning. I leaned it out a little bit compared to the last few runs I made. The TD helped out a ton and I'd like to give a shout-out at Ingalls for allowing me to get on it a little bit more in the beginning.

I think with a better 60' and a lot less weight high 12s is very attainable for a car making this much power.

Here's some videos!!
Going against a Mustang GT

Going against a 67 Vette! NOTE: We did get door to door at the very end of the race at the finish line. He did beat my but by a very small amount. Our trap was about 7 mph faster than his.

Going against another Mustang GT:

Going against a modded S2000 (door to door until I hit 4th gear )

Haha yeah dude boost is fun. I'm already on my 3rd FI car and soon to be about my 6th or 7th turbo (including previous turbo cars).

I had a D17 (soch 1.7 civic ex motor lol) with methanol injection, nitrous express ntercooler kit, and a t3 that was switched to a T3/T04E. Then I had an Evo8 I tried some options with.

Boost is fun. When you have that cash to pimp yo ride hit us up and consider yourself boosted.

Yeah man boost is so much fun...I used to own an EVO 8 that put down about 330 whp, so I really miss it. My 2 good friends have an EVO 8 and an STi, so they like to rub it in my face now lol. The EVO was a huge money pit and I honestly regret blowing all that money on it...oh well you live and you learn.

But for sure when I get some major cash flowing I'll be hitting you guys up for a turbo kit. Keep up the good work man!

Well, seeing how you had an Evo as well...

I ALMOST bought an Evo9 in December and was very close to selling my tC. I was dissappointed though. My tC actually pulled harder than the new Evo. So I decided not to drop another 15k for the loan difference and get something slower. The tC is pretty unique when it makes the numbers it does. Plus you have a nice and safe Toyota to boot!

^^^ Great numbers Joe.

But this might be a little off topic, but won't a modded evo9 always be a faster car and better performer overall and you would use less modding it to get it to the point of the Tc. I never driven a evo so I dont know how pracitcal DD the car is but I would like to know.

thank you and again great numbers and nice runs!

Yes in the end it will...

But my money was already spend on the tC. So to spend 15k on the car, and another few grand in mods just to get it to where I was at that point didn't make sense. Plus higher insurance costs and a new registration would have sucked lol.

An Evo9 modded is one of the best performance cars you can buy. Period. When modded correctly it can take out any Vette, Ferrari, or dare i say Supra on a race track. The package is just phenominal. Gotta have the green though to do it right.

I think it's that extra displacement on the tC that helps with the acceleration. No offense to anyone's tC, but the EVO is a completely different animal, especially the new 9's with the MIVEC. I mean a TB exhaust, drop-in filter, MBC, and a custom flash have been yielding almost 350 whp, which is just insane. But I would honestly never go back to an EVO for a bunch of reasons, mainly the gas and the crappy warranty that Mitsu_____y offers.

i really can't say. But i wouldn't mind seeing Higher #'s from a shop car.. i mean come on any old joe can buy a turbo kit for there Tc and do them numbers if not better that car should be running 12's if it was done right they said that there selfs. If i owned a shop i would put befores and afters not "i just did the best that i could have and that was a 13.5 @107" and thats with there good tune i think there missing something.
