Default my 05' Xa is "clicking"

My 14 month old 05' Xa sometimes makes a clicking noise. The noise come from either the left or the right side up front. This doesnt happen every time i drive it though, just occasionaly. My car didnt make the noise for the boys at the dealership so they could help me. The clicking is very regular and is relative to speed. It begins moments after the begins rolling. Has anyone else heard this noise?

cv boots are rubber, don't click
cv joints do click if headed south.

could be something in the tread of the tire ( rock, nail, bolt)

hoods that are not seated properly sometimes click

fuel line can and has been known to cause similar noises when the engine vibration transfers.

most likely ? I would go with the object in tread, cheapest fix
Then go with the cv joints

I have had that from almost day one on my xB. It ONLY happens right when I start it rolling after the car has sat for a long time. I cannot beleive that a car new from the factory would have bad CV joints.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that it's just because the joint is cold and needs some warm grease to get it going.

I am paranoid about things going wrong with my car, but this........ (and yes, I've had CV joints go bad before)........I don't worry about.

I had the same thing. It was a hubcap, same fix as spiderbox. I clean the contact points a bit, and it went away for a while.

you folks with the noise don't mention if you have hubcaps.
