Need some help with some Axis MODS
Anyone know of a good place to buy some Axis rims from online?? I want to buy some BLACK Axis MODS 19x8 for my 2005 FLint Mica tC. Also does anyone have these or know what size tire I would need plus what size drop I could put on it? Would H Techs be good or too far?
Thanks guys any and all help would be greatly appreciated I am getting antsy and want some new shoes.

don't mean to hijack the thread, but i have similiar questions regarding the axis mods. well.
i heard that you can't fit big brake kits w/ these is this true?
i am looking to run 18x7.5 front and 19x8 maxis lip rear. is this feasible?

I had a set of axis mods in the 19X8 size, they will not work with a traditional BBK, i used a powerslot plus kit. However Axis makes two rims that i know will clear a true BBK like a stoptech...
the axis hiro, and reverb have a spoke that is designed to clear the brake caliper.
you can run a 18x7.5 front and 19x8 maxis lip, but you cant use a BBK......
i would just run 19"s on all four corners, however once installed with tire and air the rims and tires were about 55 pounds of rotating mass, so i went to an 18" wheel.......and the results were very noticable.

Ok well I will probably be going 18 x8 since it gives me some better options with tires and drop plus leaves me more cash to spend on other things. So my new question is WHEN I go to get my 18 x 8 Black Axis MODS what size tire should I run? What brand? I am looking at being able to drop my car hopefully H techs if not Eibach if not then TRD in that order hopefully. So I want to eliminate most wheel gap, want to still be able to perform alittle bit not so little rubber it looks good but as soon as I turn TOO sharp I roll a tire or something. So I want it to look good, eliminate most wheel gap and still give me enough rubber and cushion that I do not have to be super careful.
also think about tire compound, how long do you want your tires to last, do you want a high performance or you want a roadtire for daily driving, not all z rated tires are alike.
also word to consider, the 18" does not look like the 19".....the way axis made the rim is that they used the same center but shortened the spoke, and with the shorter spoke it looks like crap, and then to get the lip that everyone seems to want they convexed the rims and now it looks like a half clenched hand.......
this is all My opinion based on having 19" mods and seeing them next to an 18" mod, and yes the 1" difference does change the taper on the spoke.

i meant to add that as well as what Kilo said. the 18's do not look that great, and the 19's look sweet on the ride.. give or take its your ride, but 19's in the mods look best.. i heve seen the 18's in the mods and they are a total different look..
kilo6_one... that is my main intension for it to look good and if the 18's do not look the same then I will stick with the 19's I have seen them on other cars but not a tC YET. So if I were to get the 19's what size would I have to run 215/35/19 or something with more rubber?? I want to ensure no rubbing on my car. Thanks Cory
