View Full Version : how much would this stick out?
bbsukidesu 05-29-2006, 05:46 AM i'm thinking about getting 15x9 -7 offset wheels. would these fit with fender rolling (i got DF210's)?
if not what could i do to make it work?
if they do fit how much would they stick out in the front/back?
thanks ahead of time.
aaron.
Boxer_Rebellion 05-29-2006, 06:34 AM They will stick out like crazy. Look at the posts with the new SportMax 15x8's, zero offset... yours will stick out more as they have over 20mm overall width.
Here's a pic of 2tone's with the 15x8s... he' also running OTG spacers in back, which you may have to do also to clear the rear arm.

magicmanjk808 05-29-2006, 06:39 AM aaron, you are nuts unless you getting the flares like you wanted.
bbsukidesu 05-29-2006, 11:07 AM i am planning to get the flares i want. gonna be a while til i get everything though. :eyes:
bbsukidesu 05-30-2006, 08:09 PM bump. would i have any rubbing issues?
2tone_xB 05-30-2006, 08:42 PM your springs are probably
a 2" inch drop, so most likely you'll rub.
i have coils with a 2" drop.
rub like crazy with passengers.
and with that offset,
i'd say flares are a MUST.
bbsukidesu 05-31-2006, 02:13 AM will they still rub even if i roll the fenders?
blackwagon 05-31-2006, 02:18 AM yes.... if 8 inches rubs so will 9 but i say do it!!! whats a lil rubbing anyways
05_camo_boxb 05-31-2006, 04:57 AM k a little off subject but argh lol..anyways what is the setup you have 2tone.. i wanted to get the same wheels..sport max with the o offset... but want to know if i can use my stock tires and im lowerd on rsr's will work ...id like to get some 3 degre camber or more if needed to sit flush.... so i want the same wheels with stock tires and camber will that work ....?

yes, it will work.....
back on topic....yes aaron, you will rub. -3 or -5 camber will not let those fit under stock fenders. let me do more fender work on my car and i'll let you know what you can do.....
bbsukidesu 05-31-2006, 09:41 AM thanks!
backstb01 05-31-2006, 10:46 AM you should stick out about 15-19mm out of the fender
bbsukidesu 06-01-2006, 04:38 AM yes... thats what i was looking for ^
thanks.
05_camo_boxb 06-01-2006, 07:21 AM thankx for thehelp will be shoping soon
bbsukidesu 06-03-2006, 08:12 PM update: went to the shop for the wheels and they said they dont make them anymore. :x
magicmanjk808 06-04-2006, 01:05 AM what you was looking at?
Silencei2 06-04-2006, 01:13 AM In my opinion, get flares first and get your suspension all setup before you go with super wide tires. I got low offset Work Equips with Tein Super Street Coilovers and I went through a pair of tires for the rears in less than a month. After a pair of tires and a couple hundred dollars on a camber kit I still rub minimally with my fenders trimmed and slightly rolled.
Also! get functional fender flares so you can actually cut up the rear fender and fit those monster wheels under there.
Hope my experience helps you out

thanks. this will help me out significantly. what kind of flares do you have? how much was the bodywork to trim your fenders?
what you was looking at?
i will pm you.

what size are the falken ziex's in the picture above?
It may not rub if you have a stretched tire on it. It depends. Is there an actual pic of the rim with that offset, maybe on another car? I dont mind if it sticks out an inch, as long as the fender almost covers the tread(not the sidewall).
