I have a Lava with TYC lights currently. I also have the stock lights. I just ordered the stuff to paint the stock lights. In your own opinion, should I put on the soon-to-be painted tail lights or keep the TYC lights. I think I am going to go with a red-white-red-white pattern instead of the usual red-white pattern.

In MY opinion, I would stick with the TYC lights, they really make the car. I have the TYC lights on my BSP xB. They look a hell of alot better than the stock lights. I personally hate the stock lights, but thats just me.

 

Any way you can paint the black part of the TYCs?

 

Just open them up and paint them. only problem is that the TYC's have a wide black border in them and that will still be visible unless you were to also paint the OUTSIDE edges of the lenses as well as the inside housing area.

 

I think you should go with the painted tails and sell me the TYC's!

 

I think im gonna keep the TYC's for back-up when the paint startes to get messed up. But im gonna try um on and if i dont like them....... you'll see some painted tails on ebay

gary's are legal, all the lights still light up the same colors. mine are pretty much blacked out and they still light up orange, red and white. :D

 

well i already ordered my paint lol..... oops... but um... which redout ones should i do...the red-white-red-white or the red-white ones. cuz im gonna paint em no matter what.

uh well... that is kinda where they got the design from... but on the other hand - wouldn't a TOYOTA be the appropriate place to use an TOYOTA MOTOR COMPANY Altezza-style light????

It's not exactly like you placed a "V-tec" badge on the tailgate.

 

instead of redding out the the tailights make it orange white orange white, now that would be fuggin sick!!
