I was thinking about going out to Ennis for a time slip, and figured it might be cool to get a group of tC's to all go at once. I was planning on Friday June 23rd. Racing will go from 8pm to 2 am and is only $15 to race. If we get people that are interested, we can all meet somewhere south of Dallas en-route and do the Cannibal Run the rest of the
way as a group. I suck at organizing stuff, but if there are people interested (i.e. at least one other person than me), let me know and I'll hammer out the details. Either way, I'm going.

It'd def. on for Friday June 23rd. Most of us will be meeting at Walmart in Ennis, so we can all roll/arrive together. Racing fee is $15. READ THE TRACK RULES. It's not my fault if you forget to meet a requirement and can't race. FYI, long pants, short sleeves, and shoes are required. If you're running nitrous AND your bottle is in the cabin (i.e. not in the trunk or hatch), you HAVE to have a blowdown kit to be able to race. While I don't think any of the Scions meet the speed qualifications to require a helmet, I STRONGLY suggest you bring one to wear. Don't run out and buy one, but if you have one (even a motorcycle helmet) or know someone you can borrow one from, bring it. Better safe than shattered.

We meet at 7:15, leave at 7:45 for the track, which is 7 miles west on 287. That should give stragglers/slackers enough time to find us. Look for the Flint Mica tC at the bottom of the Walmart parking lot. I'll try to park near a lightpole to make it REALLY idiot-proof. I don't know that Walmart, so I'm trying to not make any assumptions about the parking lot layout or anything. Keep in mind that you will be driving in Friday traffic, so plan accordingly. Racing starts at 8.

Giddy up. The more, the merrier. If we can get a supercharged tC to go, that would be sweet. I want to race one pretty bad.

 

I should have the S/C in by that time, but I think it will be a little soon to do a run with it. The vehicle will only have about 300 miles on it by then + about 200 more to get to Ennis. Not to high on blowing up an engine just for a time slip.

It will depend on how much driving I can get in by that time to break the engine in.

 

Awesome. I am definitely going to want to race you if you go. I haven't had a chance to take on a tC with JUST the supercharger yet. w00t! So should I pick a place for everyone to meet before heading down the highway to Ennis? It would be somewhere a bit south of Dallas, preferably a restaurant or something with a parking lot. I'm really hoping we can get at least 4-5 people to go besides myself and 06SandPearl.

Yes, I know I haven't said much in this forum in a few days. I was at A-Kon in Dallas (anime convention). June 23rd is still on, and we're up to 3-4 people going so far. Anyone have an idea of where we all can meet to roll the rest of the way together? Preferably it would be somewhere south of Dallas on I-45, just south of where it crosses I-20. That way its at a point everyone would pass on the way anyway. I don't know the area, but any big parking lot would work since there's not going to be like 200 of us or anything. A Best Buy or something like that along the access road on the south-bound side of the highway would be fine. What's along that route?

Ah. That sucks. Well, I'll race you but I'd rather race other N/A tC's. I wanna find out if there's any faster N/A tC's and see how I stack up against a tC with the TRD supercharger and no other mods.

This sounds pretty cool, I don't have a SC/TC but my car ain't stock. Might be down for this. oh yeah it would be nice if some scion people would show up to a new meet we at dallasimports are trying to bring up in arlington at the anime store, so far I'm the only tc there.
