After waiting over a month to get my Yakima rack, I called the dealer and had a conference call with my salesman and the parts ordering guy. They can't get one for love or money, apparently. They have been trying to order one and they aren't in stock. I called Sparks to see if they had them, and they don't carry them for various reasons (low profit margin item, high shipping cost, difficult to order because it is not a Toyota part). I'm getting my money back from the dealer, no problem, and getting one from a local bicycle shop. Now why is it a a bike shop can get all the Yakima parts they need with no delay but Scion/Toyota has such difficulty delivering them to the dealers? Bah. Humbug.

I don't know the answer but you should be saving a good deal of money by not buying it through the dealership... I know I did.

Not sure about saving money. Bike shop cost for 4 Q towers, 4 Q121 clips, 4 locks, 58" bars= $304.45 after tax. The dealer cost on the setup was $287 (before tax).

Toyotamall on e-bay has them in stock for $214.50. I recently purchased genuine OEM Scion floormats, cargo mat & cargo liner from Toyotamall and I recieved the items 6 days later!! I highly recommend them. FYI only.

I had the same problem. I had to wait three months or so, calling once a week after I got my car. Finally, my rack came in. I spent 3 hours at the dealership, waiting for them to install it. Then, one of the guys came in and said they couldn't finish the install, because one of the parts had a defect. Argh! They said they'd call me in a week when the new rack came in. So I waited a month or so, and finally, I called them back. Yes, it had been there for three weeks, they said. So I went and waited 5 hours (I slept across three chairs in the waiting room) and finally I had my roof rack!
