View Full Version : Ok, now that I've seen the tC in person...
Ralphus 06-18-2004, 04:00 PM ...I definitely won't be buying one.
Car looks goofy. Proportions are all wrong. Really, looks more like a chick car to me.
Also, not enough headroom, power, handling. It's an ok value, but the Mazda, Nissan, Mitsu, and basically a lot of other cars in this range out do it.

Sounds good.
DJ_X_Trodinaire 06-18-2004, 04:07 PM

Passions 06-18-2004, 04:26 PM I agree. The body shape looks really unproportional. Esp the rear with the Hyundai Tiberon look. Just not enough, WOW factor. They went to bland and dry instead.
TheBigGuyRy 06-18-2004, 05:00 PM Man if you think the 3 or a vanilla lancer looks better than this car you're smoking some really bad grass...
damn stubby looking family sedans
cornfield 06-18-2004, 05:11 PM you think that looks goofy?

you poor baby.
no no you guys are taking ths wrong ways.... if he doesnt like it. why convince him otherwise? less people on the waiting list :)
Ralphus 06-18-2004, 05:35 PM It's mainly due to the positioning of the wheels, they are too far towards the center of the car. Looks like something Elmer Fudd would drive.
Put up a profile shot instead of those 3/4 angles.

Looks so cartoonish.

I agree that everyone can have thier own opinion of what they like and dont like. But I am going to have to call you out on this one. The tC has one of the longest wheelbase to length ratio of most car in its class. The wheels are pushed very close to the corners of the car.
Camry LE:
Length: 189.2
Wheelbase: 107.1
Civic EX:
Length: 175.4
Wheelbase: 103.1
Tiburon:
Length: 173
Wheelbase: 99.6
Saturn ION Red Line:
Length: 185
Wheelbase: 103.5
Scion tC:
Length: 174
Wheelbase: 106.3

lol. hell yeah. never thought of it that way. :D

here is a true profile shot and it looks amazing. but to each his own
darthgromit 06-18-2004, 06:05 PM i wonder why the xB is the only scion with an integrated radio antenna? why didn't they hide it in the xA and tC as well?
agreed with above though, to each their own. let the sheep drive their cars so we can enjoy ours:)
neneago 06-18-2004, 06:19 PM Dodge Stratus + Hyundai Tiburon = tC
Cybergypsy 06-18-2004, 06:25 PM and a honda civic or SI looks good=NOT!!!!!
TC FOR ME!
Rich_Manas 06-18-2004, 06:48 PM i think the car needs a 1.25 to 1.5"drop to correct the fender gap and stance. also when the car is in motion it looks better than standing still.
all i've got to say is name me one car that's under $18k that looks, drives and matches the tC standard features. but then again to each his own.
BillyBob1978 06-18-2004, 07:09 PM because the antenna in the xb is horrible with aftermarket radio's. my bud has an xb and has put thee different brands of radio's and cant pick am at all and fm is full of static. he even tried a antenna booster he bought fro 20 bucks it gives a 20db bosst on fm and 15 db bosst on am and still gets nothing.
ASUgradinWA 06-18-2004, 07:22 PM I love the styling of the Tc, but it isn't for everyone.
Hell if I see girls driving it it'll be fine.
Every other Eclipce, integra, and RSX I see has a woman driving it.
Styling is a big thing though. Your car is kind of like an alter ego, they represent us, who we are, our values, stuff like that.
If you don't like the looks then it isn't for you. Find something that fits you, for me, the perfect fit is the TC.
djimpak 06-18-2004, 09:33 PM i like the tCs body shape. it looks fat(yes fat) in the rear. i like fat cars. but thats just me.
