Default Umnitza Angel eyes, HID and eyelid *Install done page 1*

The tC is currently in the “lighting” stage of modifications, as the good member of the SCON community I wanted share the love and fun I’m having. Matt over at Umnitza has my spare set of headlamps, I have allowed him card blanch. Matt wants to make a set of killer headlamps to die for, also taking into consideration that no one has an endless budget. The guys over at www.umnitza.com have been great and very responsive to my needs for the tC light project. I have several areas of the tC being worked on and will post them at the appropriate time.

I was able to get this spy shot from the Uminitza top secret laboratory of my headlamps, Woo Hoot!

tinted sidemarkers look better than clear corners. Clear corners are border-line rice nowadays. IMO.

im not a fan of clear myself.. i like white.. since the headlight is now white (wich is all that is basicly differnt thus far) i woulda tried to dilute some white car paint and frost it so it would be white not dark.. but thats a little more work..

white housing? havent seen those before..i dont think..bad part is it would prolly look best with SW tc's..unless of course you get the option of getting a different color if you want. looks pretty good so far..im more interested in the projectors though . hopefully they are some pretty good ones.

and im not really a fan both tinted or clear. i'd rather keep it amber..but thats jus me

I never looked to see if the side markers were tinted, I guess they are. I got the lights off a tC that has about 4K on it.

I have seen the clear, it just does not sit well with me, that is just me.

Yes they are white and would look best on a SW tC, OH snap! I just happen to have one of those. LOL!

This is what needs to go on... If they are making these for us, and since SCION basically means BUILD CAR, they need to make the interiors/housing able ready for painting to the owners request.. NOW THAT IS SOMETHING YOU DONT SEE, but really needs to happen. Just like options, tag on the fee, i bet you get alot more buyer that are willing for customized interior housing to match whatever their scheme is for their ride... Seriously that would be SICK!! And an option of different side markers....

Thats cool if you have a SW tC. For those of us that don't want to was the car every other day, white hedlight housings aren't going to work.

why does paintin the inside of the housing make you wash the car every other day? its hella easier to keep my SW clean than it was my black grand am..

You do not need to wash these anymore than you would normally wash your car, the headlamp is sealed.

A little Mother's Clear Plastic Polish will help the exterior stay nice and shiny, though.

Is this a pre-production headlamp, or a one-off?

I agree that most of us will want to either stay blackhouse or color-matched to our cars.

It would be pretty neat to have SSM matched headlamps on mine, though.

if only someone did custom setups for the car and kept the same bulb size - now that would be nice. I have HID's that fit my stock setup and a lot of other people do also. We need a angel eye/newly painted setup for the stock bulb size so we dont have to spend another $300 for something we already have.

well, that would be totaly dumb... what people dont understand is that an true HID bulb is either a D2S if it is going into an projector or a D2R which is going into a sealed beam.. the bulb lenths are totaly different. there not made to be swapped out.. a true HID bulb has an HID bulb base.. if you have a 9006 hid bulb, its not genuine. it is a rebased d2s which is for your conveince.. but that that does is cause glare and light in places it shouldnt be.. as our housings arent designed for HID.. yes it works.. but its not proper... thats why there is a HID ban.. cause people throw in POS McCulloch w/ 12K "kits: to get the lame a$$ purple color.. so that you stick out like crazy and cause all sorts of glare... way i see it, if you want HID, do it right... via projector.. if not.. why bother...
