UPDATE- I got a divorce... Yes!


Ok here's the problem. My wife came home yesterday and sits me down. She says that she wants to do something to my xB. I ask what. She says that for a college graduation present she wants to put her dad's logo-advertisment decals for his new communication business in the rear side windows. I mean the advertisment would take up the whole window.

She must be crazy. I mean this is the car that I baby. I have a Toyota Tacoma with a 3 inch lift and it has sponsor decals on it. But the xB is super clean. No way Jose. So she seriously begs, I mean nags me for like an hour. Finally I said where was your dad when we were paying for your college. Plus her mom sure the hell dosen't have the decals all over her Caddy. Nuff said.

 

hell yeah brother hang toughf fights for your box although u might lose out on your other box for a while lol

 

I would make him pay for some mods to really gain attention....hmmm...kinda like a servive fee...

 

forget that i wish my wife would try to get me to do something like that

 

Ask her these questions, in this order:

-is he gonna make the payment?

-is he gonna buy the gas?

-is he gonna pay the insurance?

-is he gonna pay for the divorce? <-- ok, that one's a joke

 

Hehe ask her if her dads buisness was **** king would she want those decals all over your box.

 

How much trouble would it truly be to run a business logo on the back window for a little bit. Your box is clean, but you do have the Scionlife stickers on it. I say to save the "booty", er, peace, go ahead and run it for a few weeks for him. The nice thing about vinyl, is it is removable. PEACE!!!

 

Women (most) just don't understand the connection car guys have with their cars.

I would say to her:
"Just give me time to think about it, but don't mention it until I come up with a decision. If you do, then the deal is off."

That should buy you some time until she forgets

or

"Yes, just as soon as I get that (insert new modification idea here)."

 

how many people ever look at or call numbers off of cars? Is there a real benefit?

I wouldnt have a problem with it as long as it was temporary
and the graphic design went with the color scheme of my car.
plus there would have to be some sort of compensation to buy parts. If you want to play you have to pay.

 

Yes---what crappy car does she drive? Whose graduation present anyway. Have her do a full vinyl wrap on her car...........

IF so, I say your getting off easy...
Otherwise stick to your guns man, If you really have a problem with an idea she should Not pressure you so much about it, especially since you offered her an alternative, its not right to do that.

 

Make him pay you for the advertising........way to keep the lady in check.....
