Default Chalked on two More tonight **Updated w/vid**

To make a long story short:

New Kills

1) RB20DET Powered 240SX on 7lbs of boost (this is the race I have on vid. will upload later)

2) Trail Blazer SS rated 395hp @ crank

Now, if you would like to read the story of the nights activities here ya go:

Well guys, it was a rather eventful night. A few people were eager to see what a Scion tC on Turbo can do. So, this guy in a Chevelle SS with like some sick a$$ slicks on the back, and small tires on the front that had a 540 motor in it (MEAN AS ALL HELL SOUNDING), set up a race between his friend and me. His friends weapon of choice was a Trail Blazer SS. Very nice vehicle in deed. Only mod to the Trail Blazer was a drop in K&N filter.

Well, needless to say, I was surprised by the Trail Blazer SS. For it weighing that much, those things are ballzy! We kicked it from a 40 roll. I was spooling the 16G and he did the honking. He stayed with me all the way through 3rd gear. When I shifted to 4th, the tC started to pull away. At shutdown, I was like a car in front. The guy was manually shifting the Trail Blazers Auto tranny. He said that he thought that all he would have to do was push up on the lever and it would drop into the next gear, but he didn't realized he had to still press the button on the side of the shifter, so he bounced off the Rev Limiter. So, he wanted to run again. Same outcome however. 4th gear, and I start to walk.

Well, onto the next races. I don't know if any of you remember the Subie guy that I raced last time that I have on vid of me sticking to his back bumper before we shutdown. So, that technically was the only loss I have thus far. Anyhow, he shows up, and I want a rematch because I wasn't brake boosting last time. So, here is the conversation:

Me: So, what did you change.
Subie: Oh, man, the clutch is slipping.
Me: Oh, for Real?
Subie: Yeah
Me: So, you not running tonight.
Subie: Naw, I tried running my friend in the 240 on the way here, and I could barely do anything.
Me: Aight

So, guess I won't be getting my rematch this time around. And I was a little upset, cause this is the race that I've been waiting for, going on like 2 1/2 to 3 weeks now. So, I'm like *** it.

So, I'm chillin, and the Subie dude comes up to me while I'm showing the ZPI kit to some of the other locals, and says that his friend in the 240 will run me. Conversation:

Subie: Hey, would you run the 240, cause he would like to go?
Me: Well, sure I guess.
Subie: Hey "......." (can't remember the guys name), he said that he will go with you.
Me: So, what does it have in it SR20 (cause I heard the BOV when he pulled into the lot)?
Subie: Naw, RB
240 guy: Yeah, it's just an RB on 7lbs of boost
Me: Oh (the minute he said RB, the agony of defeat had kicked in)

So, again, kicked it from a 40 roll. And would you know, the tC pulls it! Then we get back, and we give each other props for our achievements. I check out the RB sitting under the hood of the 240, and it turns out, it's an RB20DET running a t28 on 7lbs of boost. I was thinking it was a 25 or a 26DET. But nonetheless, another victory for the Scion tC that people underestimate because it has a small 16G on it.

And get this, the Subie guy now wants to see if I want to race him. I was like "Oh, I thought his clutch was slipping?" They were saying that he would try to keep up. I'm like man, it's to late now. I don't want to race it. I'm done for tonight. Didn't race me when I asked so, he just going to have to wait till next time. Supposedly he has some mods coming in that's going on, so we will see. Say's he has an STI head coming in.

PS...The Trail Blazer SS later ran an SVT Cobra Mustang, and put about 1 1/2 cars on it. So, guess what that means, SVT Cobra will be next on the list of tC kills. But I'll let Misti take that victory under her belt.

Hey man, how much hp are you pushing out? We'll have to hook up at the next shootout after ZPI gets all of my stuff done. It should be a good show.

Good kills btw, always nice to see another tc doing big things

The Trail Blazer SS's are pretty cool but even a SC'ed tC with bolt-on's should be able to take one..

They normally run about a 14.4 @ 96mph.

Sorry bro, that's incorrect. A S/C tC would have gotten walked all over. I slowly started walking away from it after 4th gear. It wasn't an onslaught. So, if I was S/C, I would have gotten killed.

A quick Google search is your friend.

1/4 Mile ET: 13.519
1/4 Mile MPH: 100.520
1/8 Mile ET: 8.667

There aren't any S/C tC setups breaking 13's yet, but they are getting close. Maybe a S/C setup with all the bolt-ons + all the pullies available with the highest PSI S/C pulley made would take out a TB SS. But they have yet to break 13's, so they need to get on the ball.

That's a good ET, much better then I've seen in person or in the magazines.

Must be one of the best times so far. I doubt many people are hitting 2.0 60' times on stock tires.

You do know that the TB SS comes in AWD and RWD right?

Another guy:

TB SS time is on the Right

These guys are nothing to sneeze at...

This is what his SIG say....

06 Trailblazer SS LT2 2WD Stock w/K&N
13.49 @102.38 2.02 60'WOW!!

And the one that I raced had a K&N drop in as well.

40 Roll. He said as long as he can get in low gear, than it was cool. From a stop, I think I would have pulled even harder due to the tC's low end tQ.

We are being challenged by a guy in an H22 Powered Civic Coupe also. I told him to meet us at the 1/8th track, so, we should do battle with the H22 Civic this weekend, if he goes to Union Hill.

Did you not see my HKS TT thread?

13.4 on Stock Scion Street Tires (Baby the clutch on launch, and then hammer it out the rest of the way = Good traction). I practice on Street Tires, besides, I have a set of DR's in the garage too...

During the Scion ShootOut, Rob was putting down 13.8's on Scion Street Tires with a ZPI Stage 1 @ 8 PSI on an all stock tC except for the exhaust.

That's an estimate.. it's not a real quarter mile time. Those things aren't very accurate. Goto a real track sometime if you want to know your quarter mile time.

Man, I think you need the Hateraid Award... Like I said, I would have pulled even more on him.

And also like I said, Rob was laying down 13.8's at Beach Bend, and our car is lighter than his.

**edit**
How about I post 1/4 mile times when you do?
