Hello,

I have a set of 18" with 215/35/18 tires. I am thinking to replace a new set of 18" with 225/40/18. Do you guys know if it is too big or what is the right size tire for it?

Thanks..........

dont know necessarily if the info you need is here, but give it a shot:

one bad thing is that this chart does not show whether these xB's are stock ride height. 1", 2", coilovers, etc. This will affect your clearance I believe. Personally I run the same dimension tire as you, however I have a 1" drop...not rubbing at all, but I suspect if I was running 40 series that it would. good luck

Those are going to be some HUGE tires. I don't want to sound rude, but why would you want 225/40 series tires? That's going to be a giant sidewall. Defiantely going to affect your rideheight & clearance.

How if I use 215/40/18..I droped 2", but with my 215/35/18 it did not look low. I still can see a big gap between tire and wheel.

You don't have a registry profile, so I'm not sure what kind of springs you're using to lower your xB, but rather than spending $450+ on new tires, why don't you go with a little more agressive spring? The goldlines are only $150, & give a 2" drop, Tanabe DF210s are around $200, and give a 2.0/2.2" drop.

To fill that gap, & give a sportier look, most people go a little lower, rather than filling it with more rubber.

actually the blue blitz xA has 225.40.18's in the back and 215.40.18 in the front....should work .... he also has rolled fenders in the rear so there will be some rub....Good Luck..
