Default Anyone still have any questions?

I just posted this, but the topic got erased...So again:

I have an idea. I am going to testdrive the tC today, in about an hour. Now, instead of posting "I just drove the TC blah blah blah..." whoever is still interested in an aspect that hasn't been discussed can post their question and I will look into it during my test drive. I'm going to drive a black, automatic and I'm 5'10" if you're wondering about the headroom issue. If you want me to check some feature out I'll be glad to do that.

dunno if this has been covered or anything but does the stock head unit play mp3 cd's or do you have to get the upgrade for it?

Yes the stock unit plays mp3's and is xm ready. Also something they added new to the 05 units is that they have a feature called SRT Sound Retouch Technology. What it does is it reads your mp3's and pretty much cleans up all the noise and distortion caused during the compression.

like 15-20 dollars @ walmart and it serves the same purpose. no need to spend all that cash for floormats just cuz they say scion on them.

You might not want the $150 mats from Scion but you definitely don't want the $20 Walmart mats as the poster indicated. Spend decent money for the mats. Hopefully in a few weeks, "mats.com" will have nice rubber mats for the tC.

my walmart mats have done me no wrong. lol come to think of it... i think they were about 25 bucks. as far as im concerned, it really depends on you and the way you allow your car to be treated.

when people get in my car i ask them to keep their feet on the mats. makes me seem like an ___ but my tan interior needs to be protected.
if you have friends or people who get into your car who dont care since it doesnt belong to them, you may want sturdier mats with more grip so they dont slide about.
also, your environment should have a diverse effect on your decision.
if you usually have to get in your car with muddy, greasy or otherwise nasty shoes, you may consider some top quality mats.... or a plastic bag to put them in and spare shoes.

who knew so much thought could go into floor mats that they would build a web site for it?

Default tC Hybrid mats

the mats for the tC are "hybrid" carpet/rubber, so they adapt to any environment; dry, muddy, whatever. the carpet is on top of the rubber, and stays in place by staying under a lip around the edges, and is clipped down at the bottom. the carpet can be pulled off and voila, you have your rubber mat. the hybrid mat is both stylish and functional. i didn't see anything like that last time i went to walmart.

1. i didnt say walmart mats were the end all of floor mats. just that they're functional. plenty for my needs ... and my wallet. im sure for 150 the tC mats are good, and they'd better be for 150 ya know?

2. by any chance... do you work for scion?

3. 1 post... welcome to the board

sometimes it seems like i upset people. i hope you all arent mad at me for posting my opinions... not that i would change them or anything. just understand that they are just opinions and everyone is entitled to them. :D

chalk the sidewalls and run it through a series of tight corners at a min of 35mph to check for tire roll over and please post pics.

:D (for all of us autocrossers out there)

i know the salesman probably won't let you do that, but it would be cool!

See the star? Thats PV Dr. East. I'll be taking the tC all long there and its turn after turn. I'll have my dad drive it like a mad man to see how it REALLY handles. This tC has the trd exhaust, side airbags, XM radio, lip spoiler, and the B pillar graphics. I'll try putting some pictures up tonight. (including the guage cluster for you jlaznlover) Well, off to the best test drive ever! Oh and the exhaust sounds ssooo nice. =o)
