This was in the Herald newspaper...

"The Bonney Lake High School Associated Student Body has organized a Show and Shine, or Show and Muddy Up, car show between 10 am and 2 pm, June 10, at the high school, 10920 199th Ave Court East, in the upper parking lot.

The event is sponsored by Sunset Chevrolet.

The cost is $5 for registering a vehicle the day of the show at the entrance. Refreshments will be available.

People's choice awards will be given for best of show, best import, best domestic, muddiest truck, baddest ride and best classic vehicle."

...Now this is east Pierce County (explains the muddiest truck catagory) and a Chevy sponsorship but it should be fun.

I'll be there and I implore all women owners to attend as the last car show at Sumner High School was reported as being a "boys and their toys" event. I want to show the paper that girls have their toys too!!!

Anyone in the area for this?

I forgot to mention in my previous post, what is everyone thinking about for a meet up spot and time for this? I am not sure exactly where Bonney Lake is so I don't think I am gonna be good for any suggestions.

Hey mocascion, don't you guys live near south center mall area? If that's the case, I can meet you (and who ever else wants too) in that area and then we can meet the rest farther south if that's where we are heading.

 

We live about a 20 minute drive from Southcenter. I can meet there and that way you don't get lost finding Bonney Lake.

Any other takers for Southcenter and drive in to Bonney Lake (which is about a 30 min drive from Southcenter)???

Do you know where Sumner/Hwy 410 is?

Sumner is the first 3 exits and Bonney Lake is the next 3 exits (about because it becomes more residential then).

Basically come from Hwy 512/167 and take the 410 exit. Then follow it up the hill past the Target/Walmart. Right after the "Spa City" and before the Albertsons..take a right. Then at the next light take a right. And then go down that road to the high school. Those are landmark directions. I can get better ones from mapquest if you need it.

Where would be best to meet you at?

I have no problem with a caravan from Southcenter and picking people up at like the Supermall/Tacoma/Puyallup if other people don't mind.

ok.. sounds like we got it fingered out for the most part.

So how about we have the South Center Meet between 8am and 815am at Starbucks. (the starbucks is next to target on the south side of the mall)

From there we will cruise down 5 south to...........(south people fill n the blank)

Here's an idea...

I'll meet the north end people who want to go at 8 AM at the Southcenter Starbucks (next to Target and Zoopa NOT Old Navy or Barnes & Noble since there are so many options...hehe).

At 8:30 AM we'll leave there and head south to where we meet up with some of the south sound gang.

We'll then meet up a group at the Fred Meyer in downtown Puyallup at the intersection of HWY 167/River Road. My husband will be there with the black box starting at 8:30 AM. We'll leave here at 9 AM.

That way we arrive at the school around 9:15/9:30ish to start making our babies pretty, prepped, and cleaned up.

How does that sound?
