take off the rims, the glass roof, the windows, the gas tank, all the seats, and the engine. you'll save a couple hundred pounds. hehe just kidding.

seriously, lighter rims, replace the glass roof with sheet metal or carbon fiber.

-Lose the passengers...Post sign reading" No Riders"

-Fill up only half way

-Get torch, cut carefully, and then remove roof = 1st convertible tC.

For best results fast for a week while you wait for your new carbon fiber body for the tC. Then you get those new rice paper rims and post a passenger weight limit of no more than 5 lbs. Then you should be ok. Dont forget to take out all the windows and replace them with seran wrap which works great with duct tape. Now your ready to taqke on the world just as long as it doesn't rain.

well what do you expect? very few people have one in thier possession, and add the fact that thiers a thousand post about the tC on here reguarding the lamest things. Use some common sence! if you want to lighten it take out the interior panels and seats, get a CF hood ect...The same way you would lighten any other car in the world!

its not so much the roof or the wheels but the chassis is what makes the tC heavy. they could've certainly used the celica chassis in the tC but they didn't. they were going for more of an european feel with the tC. that's why when i read some of the test drive reviews some poeple said it felt soft. if people drive a 3 series, A4 or IS300 the one thing that the cars have in common is that blanace of sport and luxury. drive a celica over successive bumps and you'll see what happens to a light chassis. light chassis are great for handling and smooth roads but they get unsettled very easy on bad pavement. also, getting a light chassis at triple digit speeds can get outright scary. the reason why all german cars are so stable at high speeds is attributed to the chassis, which are very heavy.

removing the front and rear seats, spare, jack, tools and panels would only be good for 150lbs or less. if you want a light, agile, fwd car, buy a celica gts 6spd.

thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys, sorry about the double post earlier it was an accident. Im sorry for coming across as dumb ive always owned american muscle cars so losing a little weight was never a concern as they are all tanks LOL. Im new to the import scene where 100 lbs makes a difference so i appreciate the help and advice.
