Default 3 things you wish toyota/scion should have done to the xb

1.) the rear hatch window was power and went down like the 4runners and tundras

so i can get old school with it:

2.) edit: i really didnt mean power steering... i meant cruise control. it was 3am woops

3.) sun roof

all things that could be modded with $$$$, but it would have been nice

what do you guys wish that would have came stock?

If you don't have power steering, you've got major problems

That said - I wish Toyota would have used more sound deadening material in the xB, not used such CRAPPY stock tires, and more durable paint.

Taller gearing in stick for 5th gear. 60mph and 3k rpm is nuts

more power, at least the corolla motor, but possibly the tc motor would have been MUCH better.

same cruise as the tC.

If I had the money, I would do this. there is a company that has done something like this:

Take out the engine and use electric motors on all 4 wheels
Put in batteries where the engine was
Solar Panel roof (the roof is perfect for this)
AC outlet to plug in if necessary

3) Larger/lower sun visors!

hotbox, absolutely. I feel the same way - the xB is perfect for the price. my list wasn't a complaint or anything - it's a list of nice-to-haves....

gotcha. as i would hope others thoughts are the same way but if they expect a lot of these items as standard or cheap options they're high. lol

this thread is funny. if all of this that you guys are talking about was standard on any scion the inexpencive price you payed would go bye bye. but i think we could all agree that it would be nice if these and many other things would be nice some type of options on our scions

Agreed! There was another thread like this a while back and a few people complained about things like this and I had the same thoughts - why ask so much from a 17k car? go get something more expensive if this doesn't suit you.

I think the point is that some would pay a bit more to get a bit more. and Toyota is known for adding features on newer models while not bumping the price anymore than a 100 or so bucks.

I agree about the fact that the xB was intended as an economy car but some things
are available on other cheap cars and we should at least have the option to get them.

1) power rear side vent windows would be nice. They are available on many low end cars.

2) A real cruise control, The Rostra Cruise sucks big time. If my wife's 1992 Mazda
626 can have steering wheel controls for cheap then so can any Scion.

3) A sport engine and a diesel engine option would have been nice. I would love to
run Bio-diesel in my box and a little four banger turbo diesel would get great mileage
and be fun to drive. Not to mention environmentally friendly for you west coast tree
huggers.
