either of the high-low signaltone horn pairs will give a very effective blast... Probably want to use a horn relay to be sure not to overamp the existng hardware...
I've been craving the oceanliner horn, but haven't figured out where to mount it...

I put Fiamm Highway Blasters on mine. They went right back in the stock locations and I have a big car sound now. They get attention without being illegal like the hornblasters.com stuff. They were also about $16 each.
There is a new air-horn and compressor unit that is about six inches square.
I replaced one stock horn with this air horn. $36 on E-BAY. RED with white wires.

Yes, use a relay to protect your weak stock switches.

I have put an ooooaaaaggggaaahh horn on every car I have owned including my classic cars to my new cars. Soon to have one on my XB. I also got a bull horn one which is really loud but I only used it once since I liked my other traditional mod horn better. So I guess that was $60 bucks down the drain.... I will eventually resell it but it is way loud and gets everyones attention.

Those plastic air horns with their own compressor really do the job. They say GET THE F OUT THE WAY!!! Just make sure to use the relay so you don't fry the horn circuit.
I have the two tone factory horn So I bet if you hooked both sides to one horn you would not have to use a relay because the current draw would not be to big. I am not sure how loud my horn is but it scared the ____ outa a few people.
I say NO! You do need the relay. You will fry the tiny stock switch and pay bigtime for un-needed repairs. The relay has it's own power source from a live battery terminal (with an in-line 15A fuse) or a fuse that is hot all the time.
THE 4 WIRES NEEDED ARE:
The current horn wire will be the TRIGGER into the relay.
Ground wire from the relat to any ground.
New wire from relay to horn.
Power to the relay from a hot source.
Those are the 4 wires needed for the relay. Do the extra work and save in the long run.

The relay is next to the headlight. Those white wires lead to it. I labeled each side of the relay and wired it up. Now I can blast to my heart's content.
