Default Let's talk about suspension and snow.

What would be the optimal suspension for those of us that have to drive our cars year round? Would it be an aftermarket spring/strut&shock setup or a coilover setup?

I have some tein s-techs but I'm a little worried about the winter and I wouldn't mind selling them and getting coilovers if I knew the car would handle better in those snowy months.

I had my Hotchkis springs on this past winter - no problems.

Did they improve the handling in the snow?

There isn't too much with suspension that will improve driving in snow. It's about the tires. Worry about those first.

Would you want more body roll in slick conditions? Stiffening up your ride helps keep the tires planted on pavement, but wouldn't that make it easier for you to spin in slick conditions? Would more body roll make turns and driving in general more forgiving and keep the car from sliding as much?

I could be way off on my hypothesis, but I just wanted to throw it out there. Feel free to shoot it down at will

what works for me , suspension, the higher the better...tires, snow tires and the thinner the better, driving, low rev, lower gears, slower the better...
