wow... how come the prices on this site are almost 2x cheaper than the scion's official list of accessories?

For example, the wheel locks are $59 and here they are 29...

I don't know, but I'm hoping as more companies come out with their own stuff, the prices will beging to drop to keep competitive with each other.

What's with the cupholder lights only showing that they come in blue or amber? I was under the impression that they changed the 10 colors as shown in the tC brochure?? I hope that this is just a mistake. :?

Sheesh, i was never planning on getting any of those accessories the dealer has to offer on that car.. its just nuts. For examples the subs and amps $400+?!?! are you crazy!! I paid way less than that for my rockford fosgate stereo system which is way better than Bazooka.

And floor mats being that price? Yeah if you want them to say scion on them go ahead and spend the money or just go to your local walmart and pickup a set lol.

As for me, i'll pick up some accessories off of ebay when they become more available. I'm cheap and proud to say it lol. :P

Well, my dealer won't sell the floormats unless you buy the cargo mat...and even if I wanted the whole set, I would still save $33 here. Like other people have said, though, I wasn't planning on buying anything from the dealer except for the optional gray steering wheel later on (because I don't want to mess with the airbag myself).

I like those prices... :D

I'm definnetly ordering the cold air intake, either this weekend or next weekend. I want to have it before I get my car on the fourth of July weekend.

Yup partznet (an actual Toyota/Scion dealer too) net is cheap. So is www.toyotaparts4u.com (also a Toyota/Scion dealer)

is it hard to install the sports pedal? on partznet its only 32.40 which is more than 50% off dealer ship.. 79???? i guess we're paying the other half for installation..

Remember that low MSRP on all Scions? Guess where they make their money? The accessories are marked up for profit more then installation...things like pedals & shift knobs are extremely easy to install.

It's not hard, but you do need to have a couple of tools. There's no "special" tool needed.

^^ hehe no special tools needed. basic tools will do just fine. a nice rachet set will do the job. the CAI is very simple to do, i can do one in around 30 mins or less when i have my tools on hand. for the axle back. very easy as well. just jack up the rear and put them on jack stands(both sides) and DO NOT roll your car onto a car ramp. you might not have enough room to maneuver the exhaust if you park it up the ramp.

the pedals are really really easy installs as well. most basic pedals only need like screw driver and/or pliers. shift knobs... LOL i dont think i should tell you the instructions on taking that off :lol:

Do you think the price for the BATTERY TIE DOWN/OIL FILTER CAP are for both. For $48 I would get that....whenever my tC comes in that is.

Also, and why are the automatic pedals the same price as the manual....2 pedals vs 3 pedals....oh well, no big deal. So, you think those are just one screw and replace?

The shift knob could be neat for looks also....but I'm only getting an automatic.

I believe they are 48 each, but I'll ask them on monday for you. As for the pedals I'm hoping they are snap on and not screw ones, I'll ask about that too.

Hey doubledown, sopke to one of the guys at partznet.com and he told me the battery tie down is $48 and the filter cap is $48 and the pedals are snap-ons.

Does anyone know if the floormats are just the front only, or are they front AND rear?

No color changing as of now, unless they change something. The tC my dad brought home last weekend had the amber lights. Nothing special, no color changing. Now if you buy the one for the xB then you can have color changing.(i think)

It's a neon light kit you put in your cup holders....some people like to look at the pretty lights....oooohhhh....ahhhhhh.

I've got a question about the aftermarket pedals - do these things bolt or snap OVER the stock pedals, or do you remove the stock ones and then add these? I've seen crappy aftermarket pedals that go over the stock once, hence making a bigger platform with less space. I've got big feet and sometimes when I've got big shoes on, it gets pretty damn cramped down there. I'm not getting new pedals unless I can remove the old ones first.

I heard they SNAP-ON....I'm assuming they would snap over the old ones.

Well, it's just that I got the cupholders so they'd match my stereo - the color changing 6-disc. I enjoy the little things... I'm a fan of purple. I'm a girl. Whatever. :wink:

Anyway, I just think that it's annoying if they are just one color now because in the tC brochure, it is shown 10 color, that's all. It's a false advertisement if you ask me and I'm gonna be upset if my cupholders don't change colors to match my stereo.

So here I am boldly stating... ooooooohhhh...... aaaaahhhhhhhhh! :D I love the pretty colors! lol

Also, one more thing... If anyone has that color brochure on the tC, please check it for me that I'm not hallucinating. I thought the 10 colors were new JUST for the tC, right?

Nothing wrong with the pretty colors....It's neat, just not worth the few extra hundred dollars to me....

BUT, when you Build your Scion on Scion.com....they have always had only two colors for me....Amber and Blue....that's it.

Your best bet would to be go Aftermarket....they will probably have any color you want and at a fraction of the price....

I been looking at these prices. I was wondering if this stuff is hard to install? also if you have someone else install wouldnt it cost more to install it? I want to add stuff little by little but the first thing I want is the lights under the pedal, also pedal, maybe spoiler lip and ground efffects.


Also I went to my dealer today and figure out payment and stuff with my trade and also when they are getting them in. My issue I have is I want leather seats, my dealer is doing leather seats for the car but irt will cost around 1400 for the seats, I want to know if thats a good price also if buying after market seats will be better? like sparco? also does sparco makes leather seats for the back?
