well ive decided i ewant to go ahead and get a header. I know several of you fave the DC, Megan and what not, but i want true and honset opions, and if possible some hp read gain read outs. Also I would like to keep this post as friendly as possible, no knocking other peoples opinions, or what they have. we all know what the intake war is like, so mind your manners :P

Monster Motorworks is not included in that though. It includes the s-pipe and is supposed to have nice gains.

^ yea but I want to know the gain of just the header ... not the BS they put on their webpage w/ I/H/E combo

Well, the site says 26 for the whole thing... I'd say probably 15-18 for just the header. My guess though... who knows.

i think they are all practically the same, and hte reason the guy is selling his header is because he went turbo..

WOW, 18 just for the header  The higher I have seen for a header in a tC, i think is 12. With the MMW, but I think that its because it comes with the s-pipe, nobody has done it with the stock s-pipe? :?

Ya, that's probably a way off guess. I'm just throwing it out there. :)

Ive heard a lot of good things about Alpha Werks. When I finally get a header, ill be going with them. Thats if I don't decide to go Turbo.

here's the one i'm thinking about getting
http://www.strup.us/
it's a little expensive ($530) but it's a good company
10-12hp gain

whay about the DC sports headrer??

I know someone who used to work for DC....let's just say from all the stories I've heard, I'd never buy a DC product

What kind of stories? I'm very interested in the DC.

eh, don't really want to type it out & it's slanderous. You get what you pay for and sorry, but that's pretty much all i'm going to say.

My opinion on the header is that I don't like the way it's designed (although easier and more convienent on the install) and their 4-2-1 isn't a true 4-2-1.

The 2 part on the MMW header goes all the way down and turns to 1 at the s-pipe.

The DC 2 turns to 1 just after the 1st o2 sensor (i believe).

Those are a couple of reasons why I wouldn't consider buying this header. I love my MMW header and wouldn't trade unless it was for one of similar design.

alpha works headers are good

Would it a good idea to put on a set of headers with the TRD supercharger?

Not going to happen with any of them. Replacing the header means removing a cat means no CARB for CA.

sure, some people say they can't do it, or they sell their header w/o realizing that it works fine.

Just make sure you get some sort of heat shield fabbed for it if you get a header w/ the SC.

or get it heat coated. I think it runs around $130 for something like that. If you get that done then you will have no problem because that drastically helps.

as long as their is still one cat (and you can have one after the headers) it can be CARB legal and some companies are actually working on that to help get it to be CARB legal...at least this is what i was told in that same email response for the strup headers

Im gonna be dynoing tomorrow at 930 est. w/ the strup header. My current mods are trd s/c, and a 9lb pulley. Ill keep everyone posted on how it fits and gains. Thanks!

scott (SuperWTC) also stated that in the other post that if someone else gets their car dyno'd that is N/I he will install that header for free so we can get some real dyno numbers w/o the s/c since he dyno'd w/ the s/c.
