Does anyone know if the 2006 Xa use the newer CAN or the old OBDII?

Yep - I was curious about that too. My scangauge auto-detects the bus type, and it registered CAN. There's two kinds of CAN-buses. If I remember to look at it again tonight, I'll note it here about the exact version number.

So the 04 and 05 uses a different OBD II modes than the 06?

My '06 xA is a CAN-SF bus. Apparently there's a CAN-LF bus too. Beats the heck outta me what the differences are, though.
