I have moved the site onto a dedicated server, but I can't really see much of a decrease in loading time for any of the pages. Please click on the following link and tell me how long it takes for the page to fully load, then enter your info in the poll.

BROADBAND USERS ONLY PLEASE!

I'm on Road Runner cable and it takes 5-9 seconds to load the forum index, according to Opera. I download at an average of 50-60 kb/s...

It should be faster now. I eliminated the long list of regional and club forums. This seems to have sped things up.

yeah, I noticed the speed increase. It's not only server side... IE and Mozilla take longer to compile the html and images...longer than Opera :D

Are we going to get the list of clubs back? Getting to them is not that easy anymore.

It really goes up and down as far as speed and I think running something like vbulletin which is supposedly better optimized and makes large forums processes faster (and is a much better script IMHO) and also there are several things you can do to optimize mysql to make the site run smoother.

The site seems to always be slow for me and I am always on 1.5MB cable or above so I think you need to do some work on optimizing some things if you can. I do not really work on dedicated forum servers but I can get some information and ask around along with refer you to a few admins who have setup large load balanced, high usage forums before.

It would probably only take an hour or two of some testing to get it running smooth, feel free to PM or reach me on AIM and I will help you any way I can.
