Hey guys/gals

I'm soon to be getting a tC, and i'm debating about getting the aftermarket TRD exhaust. Does anyone have it in the Portland area that i can listen to? I'm in tigard..

Thanks in advance,
~S

Hmm, don't know of any PDX tC owners with the TRD exhaust that are on here, but I have a GReddy SP2 and WeDriveScions has a PrecisionMuffler.com axleback.

IMO both of these exhausts are better than the TRD. The TRD is the loudest of the 3 exhausts and makes the least power.

thanks 2_tc. i'll have to hear your guys' cars. i have exhaust on my mr2. and needless to say i like to hear a little rumble if i hit the accel pedal. However i'm trying to get into a car that DOESN"T attract cops this time around. ;) So the louder at higher revs is fine, but around town i don't need to announce where i am at every intersection. :)

tcluv,

As a fellow MR2 owner from PDX I know and feel your pain. Hell we are both the same age it seems, so I really feel your pain! I've never had a ticket, before or after, my MR2. The ONLY reason I sold my MR2 was because the cops ALWAYS looked in my direction and tried to find a reason to pull me over. The MR2 made me the worlds most laid back and observant driver on the planet because of the attention cops paid it. I am happy to drive my TC. Sometimes they look my direction, but most of the time not. I have even pass cops while speeding about 5-7 mph over and I know for a fact they would have pulled me over in the MR2, but they just let me go with the TC. Go figure...

Glad to have you on board.

Apex - *laughing* So no police profiling eh? Good to know that the tc keeps it's profile low. I'm SO needing to get that insurance down.. Sure going to miss the ol' 2 though. But with enough money, i can probably make the tc handle pretty damn close to it. :)

Mine handles better then my old MR2, just front wheel drive... suppose it can be argued that it is impossible because its FWD. Anyways.... if you want to check it out you can, no problem.

Also on the insurance note, I switched to ameriprise through Costco and my insurance went from around 1180-1200 with Allstate to about 425-450. Same coverage. I even switched my home. Clean record with both,... had even been with Allstate for the length of my driving time and when I told them what Ameriprise would do they wouldn't match it. So I left.

I work downtown by Lloyd Center if you work this way... live out in Cornelius. If you can drive a stick well I'll let you take it for a spin just let me know. You'll probably want to get your TC first, just PM if you want to feel the ride on mine. It's a lot tighter then just the TRD sway bar, and even more so then stock. There is no sway in my car at legal speeds.

What color are you planning on?

HEY Sabrina! Too bad you didn't get your tC earlier, or I could have sold you my Tein coilovers & sway bar.

Apex - Really appreciate the offer, thanks!! And please... i LOVE stick.. just not in traffic. ;) I know i'm going to miss the whole rwd *fun* times in the rain, but eh fwd always have those e-brakes and not JUST for parking. ;)

Where do you like to drive? Well for fun i mean... Skyline USED to be fun, but speed bumps have SO messed that up. Cornelius Pass has some great high speed banks..and thankfully the hwy out to Newberg ROCKS!. *I'm in the Tigard area so that's a lot closer*. :)
