Kenwood DDX6019 6.95" Installed in tC *PICS*
Installed my DDX6019 last week here are some pics of the fitment. Im really happy with the deck so far. Sound and picture quality is amazing. Only downside I found was the IPOD adapter I was really looking forward too but it can only load 10 items at a time. So if you are the playlist type of person you can see up to 10 playlists at a time without having to do about 3 steps to get to the next set. But if your like me and want to scroll through 30 gigs of artists its definitely not an option. But the adapters digital sound quality is amazing, way over the crappy FM Transmitters. Ive got the IPod playing my songs as the sound source while I put in some old school kung-fu movies and its sweet
How many of you get to watch quake3 movies on the way to work!

yes, as you can see from the picture the deck screen is perfectly flush with the opening but that means not much room for the screen. I can put pressure on the cover and pull it over with it pushing against the dvd but I dont like risking scratches etc. I have seen a few of the threads on how to make it fit if anyone can link me I was able to find them again. I dont like closing the radio door anyways because then I have to look at that huge SCION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had heard about some of the Ipod adapter issues. An easy solution I found was to just burn my MP3s on to 8.5 gig DVDs. They are around five dollars a piece but its pretty easy to select albums from the touch screen or using a remote. I organized each dvd by genre. I then made folders for each artist and then sub-folders for each of there albums. I fit nearly all my music on three DVDs.
He meant drilling the brackets an inch back. As seen in this Tech article here:

This was before there were DIN kits available for the tC, so he just took the stock brackets and altered them.

if you cant pull the cover down ...why not just take it off?
crap, i meant to reply at that post up there.
the reason u shouldn't take the door off is because there is going to be a big gap at the top. u can fix it like i did when i got my in-dash dvd player that flips up by making a custom cover.

heres an easier way to get it to close ....
there are 4 bolts holding that little metal support piece that holds the radio in... dont use the bottom 2 bolts, find 2 holes on the top of the radio that is about the right depth, bolt them in , and just kind hold the unit as high up as possible as you tighten...works perfect, ive had mine in perfect for over a year

Yes sir I got everything I needed which was basically only a harness. All bolts lined up perfectly with the stock brackets and there was no modifications needed yet. Hopefully getting the door to close will only require me to try different threads to screw into we'll see.

Well i'm board waiting for a update. I'll take out my ddx-8017 tomarrow and drill the holes. I've been busy on other things i wanted to see where other people made the holes. Well i can't wait any longer. I got the tCover and i can't install it unitl i get the radio cover to close flush. Only bad thing i can't find the cable that goes to my camera.
So i can do it until i find the D*&m cable.
