hey guys, saw Cars the Movie yesturday and seriously tho the xB is in the movie. Its in the scene with the 3 tuners with one muscle cars messin with Mack. Funny as hell too
Its the Blue car with the extremly rice wing.

I saw the movie with my sister yesterday, I honestly don't think DJ, the blue one pictured above, is an xB, just a fictional car of similar design.

 

Yes, parts of it look xBish like the roof. But the headlights don't look right at all plus it's only a 2 dr.. I had hoped an xB would be in the movie. I guess it looks close enough?

 

Ya don't say? And here, I thought ALL the cars (except the Ferrari) were "fictional cars of similar design." Don't over-analyze it, it's a Pixar flick.

 

hey now from what I understand the Blue one they show in the commericals is a Porche.

 

Not so--Ramone is a 59 Impala as stated on the Cars website and of course Doc Hudson is a Hudson. But you are right--its a Pixar movie!! Maybe DJ is the much awaited replacement for the xB!

many of the characters where real cars. i knwo the race fan twisn where miatas. GREAT movie. did anyone else notice the sparkplugs on top of the gas station? (read in a mag that its the firing order for a hemi, i think)

 

Maybe DJ is a truck with a camper shell... looks like a truck to me.

 

You can obviously tell that Pixar based DJ off an xB though... I mean, its pretty obvious..

Of course it's designed off of the xb/bB. It's got a stupid useless body kit, and an even more useless spoiler, sounds like an xB to me. What other box shaped ricer does America have?

Looks more like a 2 dr. PT Cruiser.

 

Most of the characters were real cars. There's also the Superbird and Monte SS Nascars, the Miata groupies, the Quattroportes at the end...
Anybody else notice the bad guy (Michael Keaton) character was patterned after Dale Earnhardt? I thought that was interesting, since Dale Jr. has a cameo as himself.
Also mad props for Schumacher as the Ferrari...
