CreepySleepy 06-14-2006, 05:08 AM Hi'ya there My fellow Scion Peepz!!! I recently saw the New Scion xB commercial featuring a very artistic view of the Scion xB!!! When I saw the Body Kit on this xB, I instantly fell in love!!! I simply gotta have this Body Kit!!! bBlover 06-14-2006, 05:19 AM Is it the one where the xB changes to red and its going up the parking garage? If so yeah it is sick!!
CreepySleepy 06-14-2006, 05:57 AM Is it the one where the xB changes to red and its going up the parking garage? If so yeah it is sick!! Yeah!!! Thats the exact Commercial I'm referring to!!! I Luv That xB!!! Sweet!!! Info People Info!!! LMAO!!!

Well tecknically you could get a custom one-off kit made. As for the kit being mass-produced, I highly dought it but if you got the money anything is possible. Even a fast xB :P
jdlong 06-14-2006, 02:02 PM Sarcasm Warning: Fast!? LOL. Don't get too carried away!
Definately is a sick body. I have a friend that owns a shop making kits. He's willing to produce anything. Let me talk to him. Can someone get ahold of a snapshot or two from the commercial?

here is the commercial for those that havent seen it.
evilBOXevil 06-14-2006, 03:49 PM If you read the small print on the commercial, it's all done with computer graphics.
grizzly_choppers 06-14-2006, 05:09 PM I thought it looked a bit like the kit 5Axis did on their xB for the SEMA show. Not identical, but it had that same flavor.
Huh, nobody has knocked the wing yet though. Wierd...
SirScion 06-14-2006, 05:15 PM I will be the first to knock the wing then....eww....
okay, now that we have gotten that out of the way.. ;)
I agree that it looks alot like th 5Axis kit, not as wide, but the rear looks very similar...I couldnt see the front very well though.
FREQBOX 06-15-2006, 03:24 AM I dont like the wing either but the body looks badass!
Rigley 06-15-2006, 07:43 AM Thats pretty close to the wide body kit already being made.

and yes.. these are CGI.
this one is the xB Swarm. ATTIK (working with different animation companies (Blind for Shark, Shilo for Shadow and Stardust Studios for Swarm) ) created one of each vehicle. the xA Shadow, and tC Shark are the two other vehicles.
OrAnGeBoX 06-15-2006, 08:17 AM The suicide doors on a wide body xb looks pretty cool but the back is not so good.
hxckid88 06-15-2006, 08:33 AM Sometimes I think, why don't they make cars that just look sick plain stock? But then you realize the broad tastes and styles of different people... I think if the xB came stock like the animation... that would be tiiiight
RedneckwithanxB 06-15-2006, 08:54 AM someoneexplain to me a widebody on a small, boxy, front drive car... they look BAD on rear drives, so that you can have way wide tires... but really, other than looks what is the point, sorry im more for functionality
Karma 06-15-2006, 01:12 PM I saw this ad.. and I said that kit does come close to our kit.

Yet it is still alittle different then ours.
We do have the xB WBK for sale. Please inquire at www.aitracing.com or call the office for pricing.

This coming from the guy with the brush guard, wanting to jack up his xb....LOL
:) sorry, couldn't resist Don.... :silly:
hxckid88 06-15-2006, 05:07 PM I think that WBK looks sick, I don't care about functionality (it depends on if its HELLA ghetto though...)
Karma 06-15-2006, 05:41 PM Our WBK kit is totally functional, all vents are built in for a purpose.
CreepySleepy 06-15-2006, 05:45 PM Hey Thanks 4 da Awesome snapshot!!! From here on My Ultimate Goal is to slowly turn My xB n2 the one shown N da commercial!!! Of course I won't have all the decals and such... (Just Not N2 That Stuff) But I Luv the Mean Stance this kit gives the xB!!! Aggressive yet Calm, Cool & Collected!!! Just Like Me!!! I may even change My paint from Black Sand Pearl to that Sweet looking Red Color!!! Awesome Wing as well!!! Come On AfterMarket, what RU waiting 4? I'm Out!!!
lonestar 06-15-2006, 05:53 PM I've seen another WBK that look alot more like the one in the video than the ait racing WBK. I can't remember the company though. Of course you could always slap on a regular bodykit and some fender flares.
lonestar 06-15-2006, 06:13 PM I found the name of the other WBK I mentioned. It's called the Sniper WBK. I don't have a link but I'm sure you can find it. I think it looks the most like the car from the commercial.

Fujiz_xb 06-15-2006, 06:40 PM that xb on the commercial is deff hot. the fuji likes. i saw the commercial at the movies. prob best thing all night even the lame movie. but deff props to that xb.
RTon20s 06-15-2006, 10:41 PM Our WBK kit is totally functional, all vents are built in for a purpose.
Really? Every vent on your kits has a purpose? I would love to know the purpose of all of the vents.
FRONT BUMPER
Large central vent:
Smaller side vents:
FRONT FENDERS
Tall vents at rear of "Widebody" fender:
REAR QUARTERS
Tall vent located mid-door of "Widebody" quarter:
REAR BUMPER
Twin vents centrally located at the bottom of the bumper cover:
I look forward to your responses.
evilBOXevil 06-16-2006, 01:21 AM Our WBK kit is totally functional, all vents are built in for a purpose.
the vents are built in for the purpose of saving cost on materials.
SirScion 06-16-2006, 02:37 AM Front bumper-
Large central- intercooler/radiator
Side vents- Fogs/brake cooling
Front Fender-
Tall Vents- Return of air from the front smaller vents (what goes in must come out)
Rear Quarter-
Tall Vent- Brake cooling
Rear Bumper-
Two Vents- Exhaust/ air from under the body, a closed bumper is like a parachute draging behind you, its better to have a straight escape for the air, front to rear, Or rear to front if you choose to go in reverse a lot. LOL
I know these are not 'HIS' answers, but they are kind of obvious aren't they?
CreepySleepy 06-16-2006, 06:04 AM Wow, U Really Broke It Down There!!! Job Well Done!!!
RTon20s 06-16-2006, 06:10 PM The extra large opening in the front bumper is necessary for cooling the stock radiator? Compare it to the size of stock. Even an intercooler doesn't need an opening that large. But if it is a styling choice, that's fine. Even if it is a bad one.
The side vents on the front bumper are for cooling the fog lights and brakes? So the fog lights get so hot that they need the additional airflow to cool them? And I assume that the wide body kit includes the necessary ducting to cool the brakes properly. I mean that air flowing all over under the car all "willy nilly" isn't going to be all that effective in cooling the brakes. Oops... but if you are using the ducting to cool the brakes then you aren't cooling those super hot fogs. Hope they don't melt some new vents into the kit.
The tall vents on the front fenders let the air back out? So then you have to hack up your stock fenders so that everything hidden by the new wide body kit is removed? Otherwise none of that underbody air is getting routed out those vents.
The tall vents on the rear quarters are for brake cooling as well? So then the rear quarters and possibly rear doors get hacked up so that you can route the (I assume) included ducting to cool those rear drum brakes?
Rear bumper vents are pretty large for an exhaust opening. But I guess if you wanted to run a dozen 6" tips out the rear this is the kit for you. And I suppose you are right about how the air has to go somewhere. All of that air that this kit draws in causing ridiculous turbulence and killing the stock aerodynamics has to go somewhere. I guess out the bumpers exhaust vents is as good a place as any.
You're right. It was pretty obvious if I just thought about it.
SirScion 06-16-2006, 08:23 PM Did you notice the top slot is closed with this kit? which means, to get the same amout of cooling, you have to make the bottom hole TWICE as big...which it is.
When I said Fogs/brake cooling I ment it either HOLDS the fogs or COOLS the brakes!
Yes, You have to hack up your fenders if you want them to be funciontal
Incase you have not noticed the box is SLAB SIDED, there is nothing to keep the air from flowing through the back vent except the fender, so why would you need to hack the doors...
killing the stock aerodynamics? again, its a BOX, if this kit did anything, it IMPROVED the aerodynamics...
Sounds like you just want to argue...

Grime 02-11-2007, 07:33 PM sheesh all you internet fiends, doesnt anybody read magazines anymore?
The xB was created by Mike Vu of Mike Vu Designz for Scion. They have a whole one page article of how he custom made the body kit and all in Car Audio & Electronics December 2006 issue.
That might have been covered in the other thread, but I didnt read it
HOTBOX20 03-15-2007, 09:36 PM im interested in the k1 widebody kit for my xb and was wondering whats the difficulty level on this kit to put on and look perfect
