I am just wondering what age group the TC is attracting.

I'm turning 21 on July 15th, and hopefully if I can get the tC by then it will be my birthday present!

I'll be 17 when I get the tC. I don't want it to become super extremely popular, and I don't want it to become like a poor person's car. It's not going to become some crap econobox within a decade... like the Ford Festiva (woot) or the Geo Metro (yay)...

on tv i saw the other day they were talking about the age of buyurs of the xB and their statistics show that the majority of buyers are about 40 years old. they're saying the box appeals most to the 40 year olds.
i dont think thats right though.... i think their stats may be off cuz younger people dont have credit so the parents have to be the first name on the contract.
then there are so many people who are lucky enough to have their parents actually buy them the car.

anyways... whatever. just thought i would throw that in here :p

I hope you do better than I did, when I turned 25 my insurance only dropped about $5 per month with perfect driving record. I was mad because everyone told me it would drop quite a bit...boy, were they wrong. Thanks AllState :cry:

Actually, Undecided_Fate, this is a documented phenomena with the Honda Element (UGH!) and the Pontiac Aztek/Vibe, the vast majority of the buyers are over 40, empty nesters or retirees replacing their primary vehicle.
With their target markets being gen x/y/z, Just goes to show that these marketing people don't always know what they are doing.

A bargain is a bargain. This car reminds me of the CRX which was a steal at the time & is still going strong.

on a side note, tC culture has extended to all age ranges, theres an older dood in my college town who drives a white tC with almost every option they offer and always gives me 'the wave' when we pass...

I think I'd rather it be RWD, but it isn't a deal-breaker. I just wish that Toyota would lay off the "this is our youth oriented brand" crap. Maybe gramps would enjoy it too.

"57" female, and just brought a 07 Scion tC azure 5-speed and love everything about it.

23, software engineer. I love that the tC is sporty, but honestly... it's also just the best value out there. A few years ago when the Civic was only like $11K it was worth it... no longer.
