Well everything except the tax $1398.00!!!!! WTF! Tax sucks ___. Anyway, thanks again for everyones help.

ATTENTION BOX NEW BEE's: (NEW XB's)
You must install a CABIN AIR FILTER into your empty CABIN AIR FILTER TRAY.
Scion does not provide one. They do sell one for $22. Buy one at any parts store for about $12, or make one yoursef after reading the TECH thread called 'Fabricate your own CABIN AIR FILTER. See the photo's showing how to pop off your glovebox to access this tray. Reduce the dust on your dash and breath easily. Filters POLLEN.
After that, you can do anything you want to.

I just got mine today! Was on the fence, but test drove it and pulled the trigger. It was a factory demo, grey, with spoiler, carbon b-[illars, fog lights, and ipod radio.
I don't have the money for expensive mods, but is there anything I should do (inexpensively) that will help the perfomrance or drivability?
I see there is no auto headlights (damn) so I will need to get used to that. Has anybody used the tc key with the xB, like the oune foud here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...spagenameZWDVW
Thanks to everybody here who has posted and helped me fell comfortable with this purchse.

Then peel that black tape off around the window frames to reveal the nice body paint underneath.
The next cheapest thing to do is, raise the front of the 2 front seats with some spacers and longer bolts. Mine needed about 1 inch to bring them up into a sweet spot.
Next a drop-in K&N filter (around 40 bucks) helps liven up the 1.5L of Asian muscle. Also, You could make up or buy a grounding kit. It will smooth out the idle and loosen up some more HP.
After the first 1K miles, a switch to Mobil 1 oil will help performance also too.
You see, there is plenty to do to improve your new Scions that won't break the bank but still show real results. Enjoy and congrat to the newbees. "Let the modding begin"

-I could think about peeling off the window tape, but it has the B-pillar carbon fiber stuff, so I would either have to peel it off, or cut around it. If I cut around it I would worry about it peeling off.
-Where I get the spacers and high-grade bolts? This would actually be something I would try.
-I like the K&N idea (had one in my last car) but I see the Injen intake is just north of $100, so I may try that.
-The car is a factory demo, so it has nearly 3500 on it. I may switch to Mobile next oil change.

You could pull off the C/F B pillar covers. Then strip off the tape. Then re-install the C/F covers if you think you want to.
For seat spacers. Get 1 inch longer bolts and get enough washers to stack them up to the height you want then wrap the stack with black tape to make the spacer.
The injen short ram intake is a nice piece. Instead I got the drop-in filter and added a 3 inch piece of tubing to the bottom of the air box and made it into a CAI. It draws cold air from in front of the dr. side wheel well.
The sooner you make the switch, the sooner you reap the benefits of the synthetic. Your engine will thank you with longer engine life. I hope to get 300K or more miles from mine.

-I may get to stripping the black tape off 3 sides of the window and just trim along the CF covers. Where are the unpolished areas that some people encountered? Or does it vary?
-I found last night that my first 3 oil changes are free, so probably go synthetic after that. Are most people changing at 3k, 5k, or waiting for the light to come on?
-Another stupid question: I just have stock steelies and hubcaps. I will probably invest in some rims soon enough, but I have read that increasing the rim size reduces MPG. Is this true? Even if I keep the same overall diameter? I wasn't thinking huge, only 16-18".

As far as tires go, there is a whole section on here about upgrading to a larger size and the pros/cons of doing so.
I kept the stock steelies, ordered Falken ZE 512's in 205/55-15 and put on chrome trim rings - it gives you a black rim/chrome lip look for not a lot of money.
If anything at least get the tires - they're a bit wider than stock but makes a HUGE improvement in dry and especially wet weather handling! I'm not a fan of the Goodyear Eagle LS's that come standard on the box - try them in the rain and you'll see why.
I got the tires from www.edgeracing.com $236 (plus shipping) - not a bad price for a quick improvement to the car.
