so i just got my black xb delivered on friday night.
i go to the chevron to put gas in it like 30 mins after i get it off the transporter.
i'm at the pump just about to get outta my car, and this huge suv like slows down next to me. the driver full on stops, circles around me, circles around a SECOND time, so i make eye contact with her and give her a thumbs up. she laughs and gives me thumbs up back and says..... THAT IS COOOOOOOOL! and drives off.
i was stoked.

what is the funniest look or comment you've gotten on your xb??

After having my Xb for 2 days I went to go pick up some dinner for my bro and moms. As I make my left onto a main drag this kid looks at my car all confused and pulls up next to me just stareing at me and as he passes me in the right lane sticks his whole head out the window looking back in amazement. My brother who bought a matrix and now thinks he should have gone with a scion..hahahah (didn't like the XB called it a rolling toaster. but now its grown on him, his bad) Anyways I digrese my brother is like dude look his whole head is out the window. We both laughed at the experience it was great fun. To this day I still get people poping questions on what it is and who makes it. At this point I htink I should just go into sales at my local dealership. I got people hooked.

i used to have to slow down on the freeways because, people around me were slowing down just to get a glimpse of my car. Now the scion craze is catching up over here. Now I see a lot more scions on the freeway.

My favorite gawker was the honda element that pulled up next to me at a red light with his jaw dropped! Poor guy, he bought the wrong box.

The question I always get is "Is that one of those new alternate fuel vehicles?"; and on occasion I get the question "Is that a new Mini?"

People are hilarious, but I always take a little time to answer questions and set them straight.

Its really funny when people are always asking what kind of car we drive. I always have people wanting to look at the my xB. Especially since its debadged!

The only thing I get tired of is people asking if its a hybird. I still get that when I drive the Matrix!

- There is a guy who lives in my complex, who drops by every time he sees me out workin on the xB
- At m@'s(SciFixB) place. his next-door neighbor comes by for a look, stays for an hour.
- Random people at my church make comments
- My next door neighbor finally notices today (as if she hasnt seen the car for the last 6 months) "Wow, did you just get a NEW car?"
... well it is, if by NEW you mean, i just lowered it on SPY's - 2" lowering springs...

BTW, anyone who doesnt have their's lowered is soooo missing out. Im sorry i never realized it. $200 can make such a BIG difference. my props go out to Komplex for giving me the hook up, through Joseph

one of my fav. question askers was at the gas station. I had the nozzle in the gas tank PUMPING GAS. and this guy comes up to me and asks...."HEY HOLMES IS THAT ONE OF THOSE ELECTRIC CARS?".....DUH....yeah i'm just puting gas in the "secret fuel carrying tank" so i can take it home for my lawn mower. LOL :wink: :lol: :roll:

My other fav. story is this....I went on a road trip to Reno, NV, and on my way into town, i stopped at a stoplight right in front of the toyota dealer. There was 1 salesman outside, he saw my car and his eyes about popped outta his head. Then he runs inside, and then comes back out with about 7 salesman!...they ran out in the middle of the street to checkout my ride...they were all givin me the thumbs up etc. then i took off!...LOL they are toyota saleman and never saw a scion in real life...we're so lucky....WESTSIIEEDE :roll:

No, they like it because it has a lot of room and is easy to get in and out of.

the best tho, is that last night i went out and i'm at a red light and this dude in this old as porche thinggy starts revving at me.
i'm like... WTF??
i looked at him and smiled and turned up my music way loud.
the light turns and he like SPEEDS off.

LOL...last night, i was cruzin in fullerton and a guy in a brand new silverado that was dumped on 20" rims pulls up and starts askin me all kinda questions at the light...says "that is the most _____in car i've ever seen!" says he's gunna trade his silverado in 4 one LOL....savor these times peeps, i'm sure the wow effect will wear off after those blue haired old ladies go out and pick up an xb for themselves..LOL :roll: :cry:

Oh yeah! I had a whole family sit in mine. The dad freaked out about how much room there is and then I turned on the floorboard lights, matched the cupholder & stereo color and his daughters freaked out boy band concert style.

I have to admit, everyday when I walk out to my car...I just smile.

im kind of sad that more and more people are getting them...

but i do get a lot of compliments and questions on my car... :D

I bought my polar white exactly 1 week ago today..
Every day i get at least 2 people asking me about my ride or waving. Man its so cool belonging to this group..
Its different when i had my 95 civic. Other civics just stare u down and rev in jealousy.

But this Scion peeps are hella cool I get other Scioners waving at me and i actually 2 people introduced themselves to me...

I am getting my wheels in about 2 weeks i cant decide which though.

i was at a gas station and this older guy walks up to the front of my car (trying to figure out what kinda madness this was....) and i see his mouth going "bb" (my front bb badge).... then he steps over to look at my hubcaps and his mouth goes "bb" (i took off the "scion" adhesive center caps)... haha poor guy... probably still has no idea what it is!

another time, i was at another gas station filling up... a car zooms by on the street and someone yells out "SCIONS RULE!" that made me smile :D

and this past weekend i was driving down a street in perris and a pedestrian yelled out "SCION!" hehe... for me, the attention never gets old.

The best is driving down LAS VEGAS BLVD...People just breaking necks everywhere...

maybe 90% of compliments on my xB are from ages 40-60.
Old people seem to really like my car..i am in Los Angeles county.
They are usually the ones who ask:
What kind of car is it? Who makes it? How do you like it?

I thought the xB was geared towards 18-35 age group...who knows many old peole will get xB and add all accesories like the Boost Mobile Phone commercials, and holla, "Where u at?" :mrgreen:

I'm always tripping on people's different reactions to the xB. Some people scowl and shake their head...thinking: "what a phugly car...why would anyone drive that thing??"...or they dig it and give thumbs up and laugh/smile. I've seen kids (12-16) just totally hypnotized by it...staring all bug-eyed at it from the back seats of their parents' car on the freeway. Today this kid ~14 was standing on the curb making all these box-like /right angle gestures. But the best was when I pulled up to the post office mailboxes, this lady comes up and asks me "Oh! are you picking up?...then she did a double-take and realized "Oh you're not the mailman" I just laughed and said "I know my car's boxy...but sorry I'm not the mailman!"

The best story i got was when i was in las vegas cruizing down las vegas blvd and a couple in a H2 rolled up next to me (of course the lady had to be a blond) rolled down her window and asked,"wut kind of car is that?" i replied, " dont you know? its a H3 duh?" she saids back to me with an excited look, "no way and turned to the guy and yells to him "hey honey check out the new H3," I couldnt take it anymore and busted up laughing and told her its a Scion made from toyota. man u just had to be there, i have to agree with white toaster in vegas there was alot of head turning. I went to almost all the casinos on the strip and only saw one other scion Xb and it was also from California. Man i sure feel sorry for the people in Canada the the other states who havent experienced the scion. great car in my opinion. rock on!!! :P

I was pulling up to a Mobile station last night.
This guy in a brand new Lexus SC430 looks hard at my car with his mouth wide open, he then looks at his car and I saw a hint of depression.

I was laughing so hard. He could of bought 3 xB's :lol:

Was waiting at a set of lights next to a friday's last night . My buddy says that there's people in friday's lookin at my car. I look over to see 5 windows full of people looking at my car. I just laughed and waived as the light turned green and I took off.

Best one though was the chick in the new vw bug with the plate "prncss" who did a double take when I pulled into a gas station to fill up. She asked me what it was, so I told her. An older gentleman came out of the station and the girl said " Dad, I want one of those instead of this" Poor guy, should have seen his face, it was like someone just kicked him in the nutz.

Waiting for some friends ... someone some guy who just got out of an suv asked "I hear its got a lot of power".

I told him "Its got enough"

I have to say that I've gotten so many types of reactions over my Xb as well. I've even had a guy who saw me parallel park into a slot, and he stands there and watches me and politely waited till I got out before asking me what it was. The BF drives a souped up Dodge pickup and he wishes he had one. He took my Xb to go shopping one day and when he got home, he threw me the keys saying, "Here! I'm tired of people asking me what the hell I'm driving when I'm in your car." Apparently he was mobbed by people at Safeway and Target. I agree with a previous poster. I should just go do advertising for Scion driving the car all over the place and giving out brochures. Lastly, yeah, what's with people revving their engines when I'm at the light? Like I'd really race your stupid ___ BMW anyway.

No bull____, I was driving around in my xB trak car, when a couple guys in a Acura Legend with a dealer tag was pacing me. He would get to my right, then in front of me, then the left and then behind me. He repeated that several times. My guess was he was trying to find out who the manufacturer was. Finally he yelled out the window to ask about the car so I pulled to a gas station and gave him my card. Turned out, the guy was one of our wholesalers and he ordered one the following week! You just never know.... :wink:

Last Friday I was at a light and a mini cooper drove up. They was checkin out the car and so I rolled down the window and said "How do yal like what I did to the box your car got shipped in?" They were lauging so hard if they waz cows milk woulda come out there nozes.

p.s. uh..i was bored. Btw, two weeks ago, a cop stopped me and asked what kind of car I was driving.

Have no clew as to what it is. Went there to try and get a mooing horn (and get it installed). All the guys from the shop came out an asked all kinda questions...however ... they didn't know how to install the mooing horn that they sell (darn it). So I returned it. The BullBox still just beeps.

Why do cows have bells ... 'cause the horns don't work darnit!

Since I have the bB emblems on, I even get cops asking me what kinda car it is.

I was in Riverside the other day and I happened to drive into a car show in progress of classics and I had some guy in a 40's ford drive up to me and honk that funny old car honk, the awwwwoooga horn. For a second I thought I was in a time warp like it was the land that time forgot.

The thing I hate is when the ask what gas milage it gets... like if I'm sacrificing looks or something for gas.... psssh silly peoples....

Was driving to work tonight and these guys (darn it) said "cool ride dude". Peeps seem to realy like the bull box.
