okay well i recently installed the aw headers but i stripped the o2 sensor while trying to take it off so i bought a new one and i didnt have a check engine lite on until just like now so its been about 2 weeks not even. my car feels really slow and ____ty how can i fix this problem and will this exhaust system get rid of the check engine lite."ZPIracing Scion tC Full Exhaust" because im planing on ordering it sometime this week.

i also installed a injen cai since its been really hot latly i was wondering would i get more of increase if it was short ram or not ?

 

short ram is always worse than CAI.

get the code for the CEL to figure it out. it's running in safe mode right now....it sounds like something more than the p420 is happening...

 

wats safe mode ? does that mean its not running good meaning if i was supposed to race tonite i shouldnt -_-

 

also please someone answer this do u know if the zpi exhaust is any good ??? or is their a better one out

 

safemode = half assed mode basically

if your car is running like garbage, shouldn't that be your clue into why you shouldn't be racing it?

 

Do the CEL trick man, its easy and SHOULD fix it! Check out the DIY guide for the DC Sports header for the part numbers on the antifoulers.

 

yea seriously, if you arent running anti foulers the CEL will come on, and eventually youre car will go into limp mode.

Install the antifoulers, reset the ECU, and hopefully your car will run like new

Get some common sense guys, honestly. Any light that didn't turn on when you rolled the car off the dealership that turns on is telling you something. Read the little book that comes with the car :o

 

hrmm im guessin that me running flats is ok. hahaha they didnt reset my tire pressure thingy lol.

but err i had a CEL took off my intake... it was installed wrong... but racing is a big no no even if you werent having issues.... come on man... unless its on a track dont do it.

and its limp mode... where you car basically does to get back to the dealership or a shop trying not to run the engine hard so it messes more stuff up.

get the CEL fixed... running it for a long time is badddd a big

 

can someone talk about the negative side of having the cel issue and keeping it like that for a prolonged time. i am interested also.

 

is not like smoke.... i know why the cel came on .. i have antfoulers on but it still comes back ... the dealer ship told me the sensor was broken but im not sure if they are saying that cuz i have stuff installed and it might read differnt..

 

DID YOU KNOW 90% of TIME the reason why check engine lights go off is because of the bad O2 sensor? not just the tC but all cars. my friends father has been workin at SEARs AutoCenter for over 5 years and most of the CEL's that pops up is because of the o2 sensor.....

funny thing is that he gets 80 bucks just to plug and screw a new 02 sensor back in....... hahahahaha

 

yes it is kinda bad after your out of warranty.... if your car is still less then 40k miles, you shouldnt worry, toyotas are built to last long. after 40k miles or so you should probably get that fixed just in case something is actually wrong, and if there is a problem then you wont know because your CEL is already on...


other then that just keep driving till your car breaks down, hahaha.... i mean, thats a long time from now you kno.....
